Steve thanks for you input.......

Ok soz

Right sensible, spray it, run it till spring and if you're still fed up with it, then sell and get another project!?
If it was me I'd drive it rather than keep tinkering with it tho!

Agreed next year is hopefully for driving. If I can get driving well and I fall in love again.

I am shocked Steve sound advice from you!!

What is exactly the case in the UK with oldtimers? In Belgium, cars older than 25 years require only 1 inspection instead of the annual inspection, insurance and tax is supercheap and horespower does not affect insurance or tax. Is that similar to the UK? If so, you could get a really cheap track car that is still lots of fun, especially if you import one out of Germany where you have loads of prepped cars on mobile.de.

M3 would be good. But they don't really do it for me! The dog will love a x3 witch I have ear marked I want a 3.0l diesel but the wife and her sensible head will probably decide we need the 2.0l :(

Insurance is not really effected I don't think? If it's fast and expensive it will be expensive! Tax is free over 25 years I think and still only a MOT once a year. I really fancy building a car on a space frame with a big engine with an old Porsche replica fibreglass body!! But I don't have the cash right now so I will have to wait! How much would the only twin turbo z4 be worth!!

Not that I probably ever will have either the money or the ability to accomplish, if I did have I'd definitely be looking at an Ultima (I have no affiliation with the company, just like the cars)

Would love one! McLaren used the chassis to develop the f1 road car engine! If it's good enough for them... I think I could build one given the time. But and it's a big one money!! But then I wouldn't mind a Gardner Douglas t70moda either.

Well 2 weeks away in Cuba great holiday drank my body weight in Santiago rum :) 8) just got back to a poorly cat  :( so off to the vets (it's nothing serious so don't panic cat fans) then if I can stay awake long enough I will reply to all the PMs

Back to sunny Blighty :|
Regards

Nice and sunny today  had the roof down and for the first time in ages enjoyed driving it!! :o
This is down to my good buddy Chris getting the alignment done for me. What a mate took my car and sorted it for me while I was away  just a fairly standard set up for now. I have a few other things to do and then we will be adjusting and playing with it.

But I am so happy with it  it dose not want to kill me any more

Great to hear all of that Mat! Get out and enjoy it, you spend way too much time working, after work, on yours and other people's cars. No wonder you'd fallen out of love with it :'( Hope you're well.

Thanks Tom I sure am enjoying it  I will be going back out in a bit :)

Ah I'm jealous of you roadies today. I've just washed mine, and going to go for a blast (obviously the only reason is to stop the wet brakes from binding ;-) )

He he :D :D just been out :driving: again. Car handles slippery roads lots of quite tee junctions :driving: so much fun I was  all the way.

Car won't be for sale any time soon now!! Amazing what alignment can do!! Can't wait for another track day now!!

everthing is for sale at the right price MM :-)

Very true Byron if anyone wants a 5k z4 for 10k they can

Seriously loving it. With all the bushes suspension upgrades and now alignment it's great. It feels like I can stiffen up the shocks a bit now. And then I can start playing with alignment. I think I will make up some adjustable top mounts next.

Putting together a shopping list at the moment..... It has a turbo on it!! Getting quite excited so much so i am tempted to sack off the paint job. And just have a very fast rat rod zed!!!
