It was the driver's side, can't remember what bush it was (lower control arm springs to mind ?) - would need to dig out the receipt. From memory I was told that the bush being so worn was causing 'undesirable movement' and the front wheels to toe in under braking which was causing uneven wear / warping on the pads / discs. If the discs feel warped it may be an idea to skim - if that's an acceptable / safe solution ? I have no idea, I am no engineer :D

I've heard of this issue on the E46 330 - mine had a slight brake vibration and I got it early on and in replacing my lower control arm bushes it fixed the issue (LCAB were incidentally originals and passed their best).

Glad to hear it's a known issue tbh - nice to have my faith in my indy's honesty reinforced

Makes me wonder if Mr RJS is going to find me more items I need to spend my money on

Wow - anti-grav Z :o :D

Sorry to hear of your woes MM, but at least you have the skills to get it all fixed - I'd have been on a low-loader and Zedless

Doh :headbang: just realised what you mean!! They where the right way up on my pc????

Any way I feel slightly high!! :o just been finishing off the fibreglass work on the bumper. So filing sanding filling sanding and repeat meany times over for my the weekend ( if Mrs Monkey allows ) then primer rattle can finish until I get the cash saved for the final paint job.

I can then start the next project some seat alterations and hopefully some leather re- trimming

So had a lovely Saturday working on the car. Got the passengers side wheel arch all molded so no rubbing at all any more so far. The drivers side didn't seem as bad but still rubs so that will get the same treatment. It was quite a tricky job i ended up having to cut the liner and plastic weld new bits in!! Then a good liberal coating of black silicone to make sure water dose not get where its not wanted!! Sorry no pictures if i remember i will take some when i do the drivers side.

Next up was a bit of work on my new front bumper. Again only got one side done. And its not finished yet. I do have some pictures of that. Let me know what you think please people.
Hears some when i started

Where i am now

I am not sure weather to try blending the bottom bit into the side a bit more or leave it as it is??????

Looking good MM, great to see a custom bumper  only observation I would make is the edges may need sharpening up a bit - although that may be the piccies. You planning on making any fang plates to protect your hard work?

Tapatalking...

Thanks buddy yeah there is still a lot of tidying up to do on them!! I gave them a quick coat of primer to highlight where more work was needed. There is a lot!!

Yeas there will be some aluminum plates going under

Thanks Stuart i have no idea how to do that but it might be worth looking into. It could be a cheap bumper face lift option for all of us with old tired zeds :)

Nice work so far on the bumper - obviously not just a metal monkey! 8)

I would echo what markeg said though - the bumper adds more aggressive features, but you'll compromise this if you make the details too soft. I'd try and get at least a couple of the edges as sharp as the crease below the headlights, otherwise it'll look out of place.

I don't know about that. This is a first time thing for me. I am sure someone else could have done a better job!!

Yeah that all makes scene guys and i agree. The execution of that might be a bit above my skill level right now!!

Thanks Bing
Its done so that the standard grill can go back in. But i am thinking of knocking up so brake ducts for the outside.

Very clever

As others have said, if you can sharpen up a couple of angles it will look perfect.

Thanks very much RJS i think i will make some ducts for the brakes to help out our not so secret anymore project

We will have to organize a time/date when we can start on this. I am going away Wednesday on a little holiday for my 1st year wedding anniversary. I might have some work when i get back I am then off to Iceland to see a mate the middle of June hows about towards the end of June??

Thanks Swiftly as all my projects its taking a lot longer than i hoped!! Any news on your car yet?? I have fingers crossed for you.
