It's only the same as buying a new car and that first 10 metres from the dealership loosing you 20%

When the Audi TTs were first released, you could buy new and drive it for 6 months and resell for a few grands profit. Not many cars can do that now. Over-production etc...

I did this with a Honda S2000, got a small deposit down 18months before launch, had one of the first delivered, enjoyed it for 6 months or so and sold it for a profit.... Big waiting list and limited production

Audi's, Honda's, easy, no problem, I did it with a '78/'79 black Alfa Sud sprint! In just over twelve months ownership and daily use it never missed a beat, everything worked as well! Great motor.

You guys are bonkers....it’s been serviced 3 times in the last 3k miles, have a word with yourselves! That’s a cracking car for for £25k and depreciation free over the next 20k miles IMO.

My thoughts too , these cars are getting well on in years & have changed hands many times , you really need to stand in front of each one before discounting any potential one purely on its history :( there are dog rough examples out there with impeccably stamped history books
25k on clock for a possible £23500/£24k handed over seems more than tempting for anyone hunting with that kind of budget .
I would agree if the car was to keep (ie for circa 10 years plus).

But trying to sell that in a couple years and having to explain that 7 year gap would be a nightmare.

Also if you put mileage on the car, it would no longer be a 25k miles ‘super low mileage’ example and so would be less appealing...many other cars out there around 30/40k miles with complete service history...

Really isn’t many other cars at £25k with 30k miles... :?

Well I'm a little surprised by the initial reactions. :o

I know the service history has a huge gap early on, but its been much better for the last 6 years which I'd find quite reassuring!

This one has done slightly less mileage but it another £5K! (Mind you I much prefer the colour combination).

There was a similar car on here a while back. Had been crashed when new and not recorded, sat for years and was eventually repaired.

I'd rather have something with some actual history of use, not 7 years of nothing.

They come up.

Besides, buy on condition, not mileage.

I've noticed that on later, 07+(?), Z4Ms there is a button just NW of the gear lever, what is it? My late 06 doesn't have one.

It’s to do with disabling the passenger airbag.

Learn something new everyday! So is there no way of turning of the pax airbag on a pre 17 then?

Now 8) how about a crisp looking 67k Imola ZM coupe that reads well & looks mighty fine for a £18750 ask :
Lot of ZMCs on the market right now circa 60k-70k including many forum cars but this one looks somewhat of a "bargain" for the much sought after colour with reasonable miles covered https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMW-Z4M-COUPE-2d-338-BHP-Coupe-Petrol-Manual/224060928225?hash=item342b1270e1:g:jh4AAOSw9~Ne-KV2

It seems like the both coupes and roadsters are holding up well with values at the moment, if not back towards what they were asking for last year. Do we reckon they will hold ? I don’t understand the stock markets, nor the car markets at the moment
