M market watch

I honestly dont know how anyone can let a car sit without using it. Total waste of a car thats made to be driven and driven hard
I saw a 1M last week parked up in St Johns Wood which had done just 600 miles.

Rumour has it the car sold for £65,000 in Feb this year, £25,000 more than its retail price in 2011, (not including inflation).

Can see how and why people do it. Although I wouldn’t personally.

Even if it did go up in value, I still couldnt let a car just sit there. Especially something so driving focused.

I had a bike that I restored and then only put 400 miles on it 2 years (had other bikes at the time), I sold that simply because I wanted it to be used even though they were, and still are going up in value

Looks like it is (was) the Hexagon car. Traded out, retail reduced. Been for sale for at least two years, was originally for sale Stg44k as we recall. Nice spec, and would be a good car to own. However still priced more than the market says its true value is.

Yes I offered them £39k for that back in July 19 but they would not budge on the price!

That looks like a bad decision on their part then as they must have got less than that for it! :?

Yes agree, however I’m content with mine now and wouldn’t change it for any other one as it’s starting to look a great car now that I have done a few nice upgrades such as OEM polished engine strut brace, aero side skirts, and I also have a OEM set of CSLs sat in the garage waiting to fit.

This same model and the same colour was in my blind spot on the A2 Kent sometime last year. It followed for a while in my blind spot, me in the MR and then let out an almighty bellow as it let rip When it found a long stretch on the M2 end. I embarrassingly almost crashed, at the startling and expected roar. Still rings in my ears every time I see it.

The 1M!

If Mike Tyson was a car....

Depends how many cars you've got. Can't drive all of them at the same time...

I feel the value of your car would just constantly dwindle on your mind. Like a weight hanging over your shoulders, every mile knocking however many pence or pounds off the value! Every drive in the rain worsening it. A bit OTT to me, but fair play. Some of the great classics it's nice to see an almost brand new version of it many years later to remind us what they were like new.

It's only the same as buying a new car and that first 10 metres from the dealership loosing you 20%

When the Audi TTs were first released, you could buy new and drive it for 6 months and resell for a few grands profit. Not many cars can do that now. Over-production etc...

That’s why I would never buy another brand new car! I have had plenty in the past as I use to get them tax free and sell them back to the dealer after six months for more than I paid for them. The perks of serving queen and country overseas. However now days I always buy second hand and the best one I can afford of the particular model that I want.

Well this popped up on Auto Trader today in the great colour combination of black on black - personally the one I really wouldn't want, unless maybe it was Carbon or Ruby Black although it doesn't look like it is.

Still on the face of it £25K for a 25K mile MC looks like a bargain, and although there is no service in the book between 2007 and 2014 with all stamps from main agents and having had both an Inspection 1 and 2 in that time I would have thought it might be a good buy - so long as you like black!

Low miles, bit do you think 4 owners would only rack up that amount of miles.

That service history is terrible.

Not for me, I would struggle to see that making late teens with next to no documented history, hidden number plate too so you can't run an MOT history check on it either! I'm oooot.

You guys are bonkers....it’s been serviced 3 times in the last 3k miles, have a word with yourselves! That’s a cracking car for for £25k and depreciation free over the next 20k miles IMO.

My thoughts too , these cars are getting well on in years & have changed hands many times , you really need to stand in front of each one before discounting any potential one purely on its history :( there are dog rough examples out there with impeccably stamped history books
25k on clock for a possible £23500/£24k handed over seems more than tempting for anyone hunting with that kind of budget .
