M market watch

Maybe cars aren't usually priced this cheap? From my brief research you're just paying 20% tax on top of the asking price, so op has it priced overly cheap i'd say.

Post 6 of this thread, that's the only other time I've read the phrase "salt pervades " before

I wouldn't be selling it to the UK unless I kept it stored for a year and re-registered it then no import duty, I wonder what I could get for it then?

£22k-£24k? possibly more if all was as it should be Re history & condition

Our 44000 miler will be up for sale very soon for the lower end of that, had an oil service + some bits + MOT this week which came to £600 or so, but as we've just bought a place in Shropshire and the wife will still be making regular trips to Devon then probably not the ideal car for it so it has to go.

I think what swung her was the Luton Van we hired last week gave the same fuel economy as her Z4MC, (although at a lower speed). Plus on the empty return trip it was almost as much fun on the twisties, and made her scream more than normal :)

I'm looking for one in Imola Red Paul, perhaps you can PM me?

Evening all, thinking of putting my car back up for sale again soon, it was up briefly before just before covid struck and I took it off, wondering what people's opinions of the value of it? I've had a look at similar cars on Autotrader, Pistonheads and Ebay and they're all over the place!

It's a sapphire black with 59,936 miles, FSH (BMW and specialist), cruise control, carbon leather, sat nav, 10 speaker professional stereo, heated seats, aux port & bluetooth.

Was my daily up until 2 years ago when I moved further from work and bought a sacrificial civic for commuting, since having retired from daily duties I've had the wheels refurbed, front bumper resprayed to remove stone chips and a small scuff (have pics), and had it professionally detailed (the guy spent about 20 hours machine polishing it) so it's looking pretty immaculate, the rear brakes are brand new and the tyres are practically new Pilot Sport 4's all round. It passed it's MOT today with no advisories, next due July 2021.

It's not entirely standard having a BMW ZHP gearknob and Eibach springs, although, I'm thinking of putting the original springs back on so as not to put off potential buyers. I'm sure most on here know the Eibachs are much better than the standard ones but Joe Public probably doesn't and I'd imagine would rather have it standard.

I'm in no rush to sell it but could use the money for a house deposit and it's just not getting used as it should (largely because it's a royal PITA squeezing it in and out of my garage!).

The only negative with it is the CD player no longer works thanks to me testing one of those phone holders that go in the CD slot, if you're thinking of getting one of those, don't! I always connect my phone to the Aux port for tunes and don't buy CD's so it's never bothered me but it's worth mentioning.

Without knowing its service record or any other looming spend that a potential buyer may unearth you should be seeing somewhere around £14k ( start £14750 ?? )
Going off my own recent ZMR sale (during CV19) i found demand was high for these & a chum has also just sold a circa 50k ZMR for around £15k

Ha, I'm the same, if anyone's talking about z4m's I always assume they're on about the coupe :)

As for the service history, it has insp 1 done 3 years ago at about 57K (had vanos solenoid at the same time) and an oil service last year (80 miles ago), both at bmw specialists so it'll be due insp 2 next year (or 15k miles), other than that I can't think of anything that might need doing for quite some time

Just my opinion & others in the ZMC world may disagree but if you want it sold i think you should be starting £18750 & listening to offers over £18k or as close to .
If in no immediate hurry you could try £19500 - £20k & see what interest you get

I just spotted this Roadster on Auto Trader:- https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/202005289606591?radius=1500&onesearchad=New&onesearchad=Nearly%20New&onesearchad=Used&transmission=Manual&postcode=gu470za&model=Z4M&advertising-location=at_cars&make=BMW&sort=datedesc&page=1

I thought the price was pretty good for the mileage, and it looks like it may be one of the few on £325 a year road tax!

ETA I'm more than happy with my MC thank you Andy. :P

Thanks, that's about what I was thinking too

Thats a 20k car right there....

I just sold my 08 65k roadster for 13300.....wish I got more, but in the end took the offer....it was in a fantastic condition as well....

Well it's cheaper than some of the low mileage ones Haxagon have advertised, although it's possible it was one of them!

Probably falls into the same category as this 9K mile Interlagos Roadster:- https://z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=122316

I honestly dont know how anyone can let a car sit without using it. Total waste of a car thats made to be driven and driven hard

Agreed a total waste if not used, and if you buy one like that using it will just kill it's value.

Although no more than if you had bought it nearly new in 2006/07/08, so I suppose if you have the budget and want one as close to new as possible to actually use it won't lose any more value than if you had bought one back then for similar money!

Well out of my budget, but I am starting to see the appeal because I lost all interest in new BMWs around 2010 when every model got a turbo (or 2), flappy-paddle gearbox, fake pops and bangs from the exhaust and "piped" sound through the speakers. :(
