Surprised the dealer hasn’t had a few phone calls from existing MC owners asking him what the f**k he’s playing at

:P  :D they probably have

Yep I phoned there's a long line apparently...

I see it as a free pair of Arc 8's and a strut brace plus £500 for a weeks work personally :)

:) I see it as a first step into Z4M ownership from my old and trusted 3.0si Coupe.

All dependent on paperwork, condition and drive checking out (if I’m lucky enough to get the opportunity given the interest).

:D they are car dealers  they would take a deposit of me in the morning if it was deal done :( trust none of them

.. when something looks too good to be true...

If it’s ‘a minter’, great... though somehow feel for a 10 year old car from a dealer at that price it’ll be hiding a surprise somewhere.

Just be ready to walk away & not be blinded by shiney shiney...

True. I actually tried putting a holding deposit down but the chap wouldn’t take it as wasn’t his call to make and referred to the absent sales guy. Not sure what the setup is down there..

Thanks Looney, that’s kind of you to say mate but if you get the call, carry on and secure it!

As I see it.
1. It’s priced low for a reason and something comes up when it’s viewed
2. It’s a relatively new business so pricing low to gather traction
3. It’s a deal!
4. Dealer has it on a sale or return and needs a fast turnaround
5. Might appear as sold / taken off the market only to appear a few months later at a higher price

I hope it’s number 3 and it joins the forum.

If a forum member sees it first, could be time for the forums first live stream walk around and drive of the car to see what all the fuss is about!

I only emailed, this is what he said.

"We did price it to sell… but didn’t think it would have quite this level of interest!"

To most non Z4M people it's a 15 year old car with limited appeal and interest. They've probably bought that for £11k-ish so that's the more amazing number...!

Don’t buy that either. There will a book price and the coupe has been selling for a lot higher than that for a few years now. They wouldn’t look it up and go “that seems a bit low, let’s knock a couple thousand more off just to make sure!”.

Maybe they’re roadster fans trying to level the market? :D

A car that specialised and that old will not have a “book” price

Put its details into WBAC, that would be best indication of trade price.

What could actually be wrong with a low miles Z4MC ?

The common high ticket jobs is the rod bearings or cams noisy
Either are blatant , so walk away if that’s the case.

I just think it’s a trader wanting to move stick at a non nonsense price .. with another couple of grand in the price he could have it around him for months ..
They aren’t flying off the shelves ..

Hi All,

I got a call from the dealer..

Car has stamped service history which he's sent across to me and needs an Inspection 2 by next year, new pads and discs (front), refurb of front alloys and rear tyres
All history is BMW apart from the last one (local independent BMW garage).

The car was listed as Red initially (he said its a common thing with Ruby Black cars) but has DVLA paperwork to show that it is infact black

There is a mileage discrepancy between MOT's and service records - I don't quite get that so going to see the paperwork to understand it better.
My appointment is for early afternoon..

That is true for ruby black.

I really like the look of this car....don't be put off by it needing some work, that's to be expected. I've got a Ruby Black MC and the colour is lovely, a pain to keep swirl free, but looks so different in colour under different light. My car had 80k miles now and I wouldn't sell it for less than £18k...get this one bought!

1. Normally where a car requires a service, especially a major one, dealers tend to give a larger discount during negotiations, not drop before.

2. However, paperwork MOT vs service discrepancies are something else & if it has been ‘clocked’ then when the time comes to sell will be very ‘challenging’ - least the dealer here was 100% upfront
