Wonder what history is like?

Thats was a £31k car last year... I very nearly had one very similar but manual and it was in Scotland, that was £29,995 last year.

Silver Porsche is like a doom blue Z4..... Car aids.

Pah , its a age thing i guess , the old school still prefer leather , the younger buyers appreciate a little alcantara

Guess it must be with you being older than me

The Market for our cars is on the slide also. Having tried to sell my coupe at a price the forum thought was too cheap, I dropped it a further £700 and paid out for four new tyres and still only one viewer who had never seen one before (he was the welsh transport minister!)

Realistically to sell at the minute you would need to knock off over £2k or more from values 18mths ago when I bought mine. Timed it badly, so decided to keep rather than give it away! Might be better if you live centrally maybe. Cheers Scotty

Best colour as well....

Sad times...

All cars are on the slip, some more than others. The good thing about the Z4Mc is that they jumped high and quickly so even though the prices seem cheap in comparison to a year or 2 ago they are still expensive to 5 years ago.

I bought my 57 plate Imola M coupe for £12000 about 4-5 years ago

Looks & reads decent for very little money , 07 94k ZMC in silver with black , £13k is the ask :o so you would expect to get to £12500  i don't mind the wheelset but drop a set of CSL reps or 224s on & with a better advert / pics there should be some ££ in that once youve enjoyed a few thousand :driving: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMW-Z4M-Coupe-3-2l-A-full-blown-M-car-like-M3-M4-M5-CSL/183762747990?hash=item2ac91d0256:g:m2cAAOSwYFlcp3Es

just had a call come through from someone on this forum buying the supercharged z4m at DT performance! REALLY nice fella, test drove the car yesterday and loved it! We had a detailed discussion as it looks like it may be coming into my studio at some point if it does ill be sure to get some pics of mine and this car together. From the discussion it sounds like the deals all but done. Many doubted the sale-ability of such a one off car but as always i think everything has a buyer!

It's only a certain buyer that will take that car on.
It was recently dropped significantly in price to under £20k & 50k miles
Can't be compared to your own car though as its clearly been worked harder than a Blackpool donkey
Interesting to see what's made of it from here so keep us posted , it must make yours worth £30kish :?

The paint condition has been mentioned previously :( not a mega dealbreaker i suspect when all things are considered , the car is a rarity for sure & ticks many boxes
Not for the faint hearted with regards possible mechanical pitfalls but if the buyer is armed with as much background knowledge of these cars & a decent wallet then there could well be a diamond worth polishing :)

If I hadn’t gone all in on the Boxster Beedubs M would be on my driveway by now, that’s a seriously impressive car in full flight concours condition. I take Andys point on the mechanicals of the blue one but personally unless you can buy one similar to Beedubs for condition and known history I’d think I standard M would be a better bet.

New guy here. Thanks to Beedub for chatting to me this evening. I am seriously considering this car. I currently have an e36 track prepared M3 which I have had for the past 11 or 12 years which although road legal is not the most comfortable. I have also had a Exige S1 with a supercharged and chargecooled Honda engine. It was called Kato as it tried to kill you at unexpected times. (younger readers may need to look up the Pink Panther.) I feel now though that it is time for a change. I want a quick track car that is challenging to drive on the limit but can also carry out road trips (Doing 4ballr event in June) and a trip to Spa Classic.

A Z4M was not on my radar but for some reason did a search on them and up it popped. The market for such a heavily modified car is tiny and a soft top is the more unlikely choice for a track car. It’s been on sale for a while and valuing it is almost impossible as there is nothing to compare it to. Mods in general do not add value and can even detract.

One of my concerns is I have no idea how it would handle when pushed and there is not much to refer to. I like my cars to be pointy on initial turn in and slightly loose at the rear to get a bit of yaw angle when trail braking. My M3 is great for this. I am making an assumption that the Z4 would also be good and the feeling magnified as you are sat so close to the rear wheels. A 20K punt on the car feeling right for me is quite a punt to take though.

Beedub gave me some excellent information which has reassured me that it may be the car for me. I am not committed to buying it yet but am close to making a decision. The sellers have been excellent in allowing me time to do some research as it’s not a run of the mill car.

I would appreciate any thoughts from those more experienced with the Z4MR.

Sounds like you have found your next car Rex , in stock guise these are fantastic machines but not what i would call "challenging to drive on the limit " , in fact the unmodded 3 ZMRs i had all flattered me to the point i felt like a great driver ( which i doubt i am :P ) at 3 digit speed in & out of bends they just do it all so easily :driving: & that's not just me :| on our many euro trips with 7/8 other similar cars we all experienced the same feeling that the machine far outweighed our capabilities .
Now throw in the supercharger , rollcage & brakes & i think that car will be something to be wary of with the right foot down

As for value ? Imagine the car returned to stock on 63k & minted 8) that would be worth around £13k/£14k max
Right now the ask is £19995 (it was initially closer to £25k i believe) which in my eyes looks great value for someone like yourself as its got circa £12k /£14k of mods & extras done that you don't have to .
If you bagged that around £18750/£19250 id actually think youd bought somewhat of a bargain if you multiplied the sum of its parts :D
As i said above , its only going to appeal to a certain buyer & you appear to be that buyer .
I would go into it as any other S54 ZM , check the history , listen hard when starting cold & ticking over , same when warm .

Regards the technical points of the cars handling , not my department but a few members have knowledge & experience that i'm sure they will be happy to share (Tomk & BMWZ4MC )
Happy hunting , be great if the car does land on the forum

I don’t have a Z4M but I raced anE36 M3 for 7 years and I found that my standard 3.0 E85 Z4 had very similar handling traits on the track, in fact, I was surprised with it’s capabilities. Having racing experience though makes a huge difference.
I don’t know the car you are looking at but once set up it should be as enjoyable as the M3 with better road comfort and drivability

The z4m is a GREAT platform for track driving.... with some money spent ( in this case all the money has been spent for you) you will have a really well sorted track car that will out perform most things it encounters! i would assume with the seats stripped out as well this car is coming out pretty light too! Get it brought REX then lets get together and make it look MAD or mint... :D :D

This one's local to me but don't know the owner.
Was wrapped in a green/black hue. Think I posted it before in the spotted thread. Definitely needed tidying when I last saw it although sounds like some work has been done. The back boxes looked wonky when I last saw it and and look the same on the pics... and dirty.. but for the price guess it's ok.

Is that another Sepang?

If so, of the 10 in the U.K., 1 of them has been crash repaired... though not sure which one
