///M Fang Protectors (edit: see first post)

So the first ones you're doing are RPI templates, right ? Personally the flippers don't do it for me, but that's just me ;)

I'm personally unsure aswell, I like them on jakblades car but not sure about being made from steel. Doing the Rpi copies first and if there is enough interest I can do the flippers at a later date.

Added everyone who has requested a set on page one.

Seems there's a pattern forming amongst Alpina owners. Hope it's not contagious across marques...

Although, in the context of this thread, there seems to be a complete lack of pattern forming amongst Alpina owners...

how are people thinking of fixing these when they come?

Don't the 2 screws already in the fang just get unscrewed & then remounted with the protectors in place?

Certainly how I understood the rpi ones were fixed to the car.

Saw a link earlier which showed this, found about 5 photos that showed it all, will post pics tomorrow. I hadn't looked at any holes before tbh

ok so ive found this along my travels of the internet, and hope its of help to some people to get a better idea of what they will look/fit/perform like

(as i wasnt sure myself tbh haha)

a couple of things that I've noticed from the photos above are:

1. what do the 3 small holes do? wouldn't they just let dirty water seep between the fang protector and the bumper therefore allowing grit to sit in between and potentially scratch/rub the paint work? (still not as bad as if the protector wasn't there and you hit something, but just wonder what there purpose is?)

2. why doesn't the fang protector go all the way back and follow the contours of the fang outline, it seems to stop short? (doesn't matter i suppose as its only the front that would hit, just wondered why they designed it to stop with that half circle for?)
EDIT: maybe the air temperature sensor gets in the way (UK passenger side) so they done both the same to be universal fitment, makes sense now.

3. if you hit something then the 1st thing that would hit is the screw head, must be a better fixing screw type as after 1 scrape the hex head could be un-grippable and missions to remove if you need to?

A bulb-tite rivet would be the flushest way to fix them on, you'd have to drill them back off if you wanted to remove them though.

Apologies for the delay with these but they are all now cut and ready to post. On page one I did a list of those that said they wanted a set. Not sure if its possible to a multiple DM with the payment details but will try. Paypal gift if possible.

Below is a picture of the finished fang protectors. I dont have anything to compare them to unfortunately i.e Rpi Skid Plates.

Brilliant. Can you on your email address for you paypal and I will send the money straightaway along with my address.

Thanks again.

If paying by paypal via bank/credit card, it takes a day or so to show on the recipients paypal account. It only shows immediately if the funds are cleared in paypal........if that makes sense.

So, if anyone who has paid can DM contact details for postage, as the payments/contact details aren't showing on my Paypal account yet.
