///M Fang Protectors (edit: see first post)

Definitely needs trimming, looks crap like that.

Fair play though, Dan didn't have an M bumper to work from so it was all educated guessing. Use a pen to make the correct shape on the plate and then cut to shape. Shouldn't be too hard.

Strange that. I supplied Dan with template to make these. One a "standard fit" and one like the one's I have on my Zed, bit of a flipper, splitter look. These pics I don't understand I made the templates from my M bumper ....mounted on wrong side/wrong way up maybe....? ??

I think you might be right - flip that over or swap it to the other side and it should fit fine. The curve is not circular, it tightens round the side. I've not gotten round to fitting mine yet but I might go hold it under the bumper to check...

You know they look a lot better if you put them on the right way round

I blame the cold making me rush.

They lead the bumper about 2mm perfectly.

Apologies, I'll edit the above.

Quick and filthy.

I had to drill out the holes to get the screws in but I'm gonna open them up to about 8mm so I can set them back slightly further.

Phew!! I know Dan made them but I provided him with the templates. Was starting to doubt myself a little. Look good fitted "correctly "...

Not checked the thread for a while so I missed the deleted thread and all looks ok now....phew. My worst fear was that I would have cut them wrong and without anything to test them on, I was a bit nervous.

All looks good so far but will be interested to see more fitted.

Apologies for not posting sooner, fitted these some weeks ago, good value, hope they help keep some damage away, thanks for arranging the group buy and getting them posted out quickly. :)

Thanks for the positive feedback

Next up is RPI scoop copies, should have price details soon!!

Just fitted mine and took a few pics.

Very well packaged by Dan, with a slight hipster vibe:

Mine came with a free French calendar. C'est super:

Do these fangs need protecting to you? Doesn't look like it, but I knew if I didn't use protection there would soon be an unwanted outcome:

A couple of my panel screws have fallen out so I bought a new back from Sopers:

I wouldn't fix these protectors in place with just the two screws - imagine if one came off at speed! The BMW panel liner fixtures are absolute crap, so for now I've tapped in a couple more screws via the rear two holes, just to provide a little more security. They seem fairly secure - will check them regularly over the winter, and see if I can replace all four screws with something a bit more satisfactory in the future.

All done:

Thanks Dan and jakblade. A great deal for the forum.

I'd still love a set of these for the Alpina - totally different shape though, so don't know if we'd have enough people to make it viable :-(

Lol, glad you liked the calender  It's from one of my customers and was perfect for placing between the fang protectors.

They look like a great fit, good to see some fitted. Should have the RPI scoops priced up next week, just waiting on the powder coating cost.

I've got 10 sets of ///M ones to do so if you can send me a template that you are happy will fit, I can laser it with them. Obviously can't check it myself but if your confident in the template, I can match it.

When would you need it by? I know markeg was talking about it as well....

Just ASAP really, I'm going to make the rpi scoops and the fang protectors together so could make the alpina ones at the same time.

I'm waiting for the powder coat cost for the scoops and then need to find out how many people want them so it's probably a week or two away.
