I did the brake upgrade too, it's so simple and looks the Nuts!!
(Although I'm yet to do the rears)

Nice! Did you do the rears too or just the fronts? Struggling to find anyone who changed the rears too!!

Went it a bit of a drive this evening through some country lanes near where I live. Jumped out and took a couple of quick snaps...

Weird how the lens picked up the angel eye rounds but placed them away from the light!?

That's just the Angel Eyes and Fogs that are on. These AE are just brilliantly bright!!

Looking great nice evening for a blast! How you finding the seats? Had similar in my old MR2 turbo and one of my fast road classic mini weren't too bad but passengers moaned like hell!! :) Dont go harnesses though as I couldn't reach anything! Ha ha :)

May have missed it too but what are the specs of your rims please sir? Width and ET etc? Think im swaying towards gunmetal for the phoenix so be interested and where you got your from?!

Scotty

Thanks Scotty! Seats are brilliant! Real big difference to how the car feels whilst driving. To be honest ive only had one person as a passenger since the change and they loved it!! :D

From memory the wheels are
Rears: 19" 9.5" wide and ET27
Fronts: 19" 8.5 wide and ET44 (with 15mm spacers takes it to ET29)

Brakes arrived yesterday... THEY ARE MASSIVE!!!!! Will get them cleaned up and hopefully the green comes today and i will pop some pics up

Right,
Work start then today getting at least the fronts on. All disks (bought used with slight wear) will be put on the lathe and skimmed to be as new!
Callipers and carriers will all get a going over and painted (still waiting for Green Paint to arrive :headbang: )
Fronts will then be put on and enjoyed! I will post up pics of the whole procedure from lathe to hub

Rears, Having spoken to Sam i will be needing handbrake shoes etc to fit the larger disk size. will see what i can do today though

Instrument Cluster - Changing the colour of the Orange LEDs to White ones... Same for the bottom screen display. Slowly taking the De-Ginger inside the car!!!

There was a thread on z-post by someone who did this... He also changed every other LED in the cabin from amber to white. I like the orange, but I have to admit it did look good. Problem is, there are something like 156 micro LEDs in total in the car - hell of a job

However, while you have the cluster apart you should see if you can get a red line painted down the centre of each needle like the ///M cluster. I actually changed mine for ///M needles that I bought from powerontap (I have no idea where he got them, or if you can still get them) and for such a small mod I think it looks great.

Thats the plan mate  The needles look brilliant! Read to use a red sharpie to do it with which i may just try!

Get cracking! I need to know what you do on the rear brakes regarding the hand brake so I can do it too when I fit the BBK.

 Soon as i sort it i will let you know!! I am having trouble trying to source the adjustable screw that sits inside the handbrake shoes. Gonna have to be one for Sopers i think

Nice to see you're "working hard" on a Friday Luke ;)

You've got to buy new screws for the handbrake mech then mate? The bigger shoes aren't just plug and play?

Haha! Been a hectic week mate! Lunch time is tinkering time, till comes home time when the real fun begins!!
Im not sure about the screw. The shoes will arrive on Monday and so I wont know till then. I would imagine they are slightly longer, but hopefully they are as you said, plug and play!

Both front callipers are now apart...

Not a bad job to do - take the 2 sliders out on each carrier (7mm Allen key needed) remove the carrier and pads and job done!

Ball ache though was where the previous owner had simply cut through the brake line allowing the nut to seize onto the nipple :headbang: this has put me back a little as I would rather get some new ones all round now these are in this condition. Easy fix, just waiting for parts :( sadly wont get finished today though... :( :(

Tried to free them but to no avail
