Thanks gents  will keep you posted.

Mat, sounds good mate. You any closer to sorting it?

Scotty, doing it to be able to change the softness of the ride... Maybe just a little lower!! :P

Toe-side, thanks! Soon as I have tested it out I'll be happy to send some your way too!

The 215s are now on the front and has solved all rubbing issues :D

This has been my workhorse the last few days!! You can fit anything in with the roof down!!!

It's ok Luke is a very slender young man. You could get 2 of him in there!!!

Haha!! Better than half a Mat that could fit in

So i have been frustrated with the phone and bluetooth issues I have been having and so have decided to put in an aux lead and put a bluetooth receiver on it to connect to the phone for both music and handsfree  (not that i will use it for music as i have the intravee and never store any music on my phone!!)

Thats the fronts done! :dance2:
Confirmation that its just a bolt on assembly with the 330 set up  lost very little fluid but will bleed them after work (had a mad rush to get the components both done in an hours lunch break!)
Ended up drilling the heads off the locating bolts which saved hastle :D Will get pictures up soon as i have bled the brakes later this afternoon

Any news on the rear caliper fitting ??
I did a trawl of compatible discs (from the handbrake shoes size bmw oem) but cannot find a disc bigger than 300mm that could fit.

I have the correct front carriers now  and the calipers and new Mtech discs. Pick up the new hoses tomorrow so next week will be fitting mine.

Glad to hear Toe-Side! Driven about 50 miles since putting them on and not pushed them hard yet. Will bed them in a few days first!

The rears... I am hoping to be able to have a play tomorrow afternoon and test my idea... Will post results if I get a chance!

Will also pop up pics of the new disks and KAWASAKI GREEN callipers!!

Update on my toy around this afternoon on the rear brakes...

I have some 4mm wear plastic I was using to see how much adjustment was needed and found that its around 15mm that's needed as an extension which was good to see.

The carriers fit fine with the new 330 disk, again which is good.

However, lets play a game of spot the difference...

Standard disk...

330 disk...

The rear of the disk does not stop at the same point on the hub as the standard disks do.

I think the only way round this is a attachment to the disk itself to increase the width of the rear and also to narrow the diameter. I have an idea an will test it out next week

So... To be continued next week!

Took the time to quickly paint the rear calliper though to match the front ones and have taken a few snaps... Enjoy!

So, little update...

After having a hectic couple of weeks moving, paragliding holiday postponed and not much time to spend on the car I finally got round to fitting the AUX lead I bought from EBay!
Fitted but then nothing! :headbang: found a thread here by sk93 which saved my bacon!: http://www.z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=15087
Ended up down maplins and bought the capacitors and resistor.

After a lovely dinner...

I wired them into the lead I'd bought and hey presto it works a treat!!

Aux now how's up (whereas before it didn't without the other parts) and the Bluetooth receiver I bought works a treat too

Happy to report that after a few months of the AEs being on not a single LED has given up the ghost and they are still as bright as ever!

Few plans now in the mixing bowl. Will get some pictures up tomorrow and little bit more of an update :)

What diameter are those front discs?
330i's came with 300mm I think, but 330d & 330ci came with bigger 325mm.

Fronts are 325mm
The rears to go on are 320mm but need a little tinkering. Soon as I have time I'll jump on them!

" a little tinkering" ????
Have been using the Z quite a lot as been on holiday. No time to fit my set up as yet. Front calipers, carrriers,(all blue) new discs and blue hoses ready. :) Not sure how the Greenstuff pads will look with the blue?

So, a little project that i am starting (i know i know, along side the many that are ongoing as it is!!) is to get a better airflow to the filter at all times. The filter is in an awkward position and ive put a cone filter on so im planning a cover for it with 1 or 2 feeds from the front.
Now years ago i saw the Viper Induction kit which i liked the look of so i am thinking something similar to this.

I want to take the air from the lower bumper area... This waste of space here...

So I got a couple of sub breathers...

They are the same size diameter just one is shorter than the other at the min!

This is where they will be...

Nice and snug fit...
499-258858908662-8466-00000810D3E10557_zpsff5482b9.jpg

One more in a rough position...

When I next take the bumper off to replace the ballast I will put these in and run a pipe from these to the air filter

i thought about something like that but I'd rather make something a little unique and different and spend very little money in the process! :P
Plus I think these will look lovely on the front
