Driving along and some muppet's crappy hubcap fell off their cheap, good for nothing steel wheels and came hurtling at the front bumper and side panel and caused this

Honestly if it would of hit the headlight I'd of lost it!!!

Fella was turning off motorway as it happened so didn't get a chance to get a plate etc

Nice seats mate

Cheers buddy!!

So did my first bit if coding today to reset the airbag light.
The INPA software would not remove the light for some reason. It cleared the errors but the light stood firm :headbang:
So I used the SSS software to remove the seatbelt reminder chime and in doing so it reset error codes too which was a bonus! So all done!

Will try a few other things out once I get to grips with NCS Expert

Gutted about the hub cap mate!!

I have the software and lead for coding had it ages. Just don't have a laptop at the moment to use :headbang:

When are you away on crazy fun sounding holiday?

Think its the 18th we leave, it's been manic so haven't really had time to think about it much... Excited is an understatement though!

Hey, what were the parts you replaced on your suspension? I'm looking to replace all bushes around the car (another birthday present for being 100!) but I remember you replaced a few other bits and noticed a huge difference.

Plus it's my wedding anniversary this weekend so may treat myself to a steering wheel from Royal! Will ask about two as well and let you know what they say

Bet you cant wait.

I replaced the lollipop bushes and ARB bushes on the front with powerflex bushes. And also uprated the ARB with an M3 one. Its a straight swap but you need to order the M3 ARB bushes as its a different diameter. Haven't done anything at the back apart from rear drop links put new one on the front as well. I am sure you will notice a difference.

That sounds good but i will have to wait until next month. I am skintos as usual!!!

Shame about that bit of bodywork dude, but it shouldn't be a bad fix.

As soon as I re-coup some cash I'm going to change the entire front arms on mine, including lollipops, arb bushes, and droplinks. Should feel mint after.

Iv just recently sorted a similar issue (got back to my car in the gym with a massive scrape on the corner of the front wing and bumper). Randomly got a quote to sort it from BMW while i was there to get a part..... £800! Also got a few other quotes around the £250-300 mark and then someone suggested Chips-Away. I thought there bound to be rubbish, but got a quote which was £125+VAT, spoke to a mate of mine who said, "Yeah they (He) did my car, Awesome job!" so went with that, and BINGO jobs a gooden, im well impressed.
Altho i do think it depends where you are and who your local Chips-Away franchise person is

That's not a bad price ESP! Not bad at all!
Thankfully I have a paint guy who works wonders so when the car is next in I'll get him to sort this out too

So, been thinking of things I will be getting round to in the near future...

EXTERIOR -

Suspension-
Coilovers - the ride is good but I think a decent set of coilovers will sort it out no end.

Complete bushes overhaul and will try and source other bits as suggested by MM!

Brakes-
Bigger Brake Conversion - been reading up on this and am now on the look out for a complete swap with an E46  link to the thought spark...
http://www.z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=24&t=8399

Air flow scoop - Original and ingenious air flow scoop to aid airflow to the filter! ;)

Respray the bottom grill on the front bumper

Sand down and polish each headlight lens so they sparkle!! Change ballast on drivers side whilst I am at it!

Rear Spoiler- still to get this finished!! It's been nearly 6 months since I got it!!! Idea it to have this moulded into the lines of the boot so it doesn't look like a 'stuck on' spoiler.

INTERIOR -

Steering Wheel - get it done by Royal Steering Wheels (didn't end up persuading my wife that it would be a brilliant anniversary gift this weekend :( ) ooh well!!

Roll Hoops - either sprayed Matt black or wrapped

Dash - CF wrap it! Seen a few now in the flesh and really like it. Jaime's CF dash at Silverstone looked brilliant! I have been trying to source some CF leather but to no avail so standard wrap will do!

Pedals - seen some nice ally pedals that I will be putting on in the next while :)

Telephone - Sort out the issue I have with sound and my Bluetooth. Everything works with the phone menu etc except the sound and microphone (some may say pretty important aspects!) Ran a diagnostic test on the telephone system an it flagged an error with the sound and microphone so will have to trace why.

Instrument Cluster - Changing the colour of the Orange LEDs to White ones... Same for the bottom screen display. Slowly taking the De-Ginger inside the car!!!

Writing it all down it seems like quite a list!
Hoping to spend as little as possible so the main, large purchases will be the coilovers and the brakes.
Will update as it all progresses!

That's a good idea mate! Bet there would be a fair few interested  good thinking :D

That's the brakes ordered

325 front disks
320 rear disks
Callipers
Carriers
Pads

Should do the trick!! Hopefully be here on Wednesday :) will refurb, paint (lime green) then pop them on the car and take hundreds of photos!

I will also do a 'G' test from the intravee to show any braking power change
