Thanks chaps. Still kinda surprised how competitive the car is, seeing as I could add 35bhp and still be legal in class B.

The diff was very noisy at full lock so will see about an oil change before the next outing.

But on the upside, I finally got the steering angle sensor on a switch. Second time lucky... this is the correct wire.

Have you considered it may be down to the driver :o

Great result Liam, and really great to meet you too! Me and the boys were cheering you on up through Druids and thought you did brilliantly :driving:
Thanks again for bringing the coupe rear blind and entry. We had a fantastic day

Hi Liam,

I forget why you needed this? I know you covered it several times…..

I had the opposite problem where the DSC was constantly on! My preference is for ABS on and DSC off which I achieved by disconnecting the steering angle sensor. However, prolonged disconnection seems to cause a soft brake pedal so it's occasionally reconnected.

FTR, my Sport button and DSC buttons both operate as they did before I started removing things.

Found it

[ref]Liam22[/ref], did you decide which Snetterton you're doing? 17/7 or 25/7?
Hoping to actually get down there to watch.

Here's the switch - works like a charm, but if I disable the sensor when the car is running then its instant soft pedal time.

I discovered this to my cost at Croft.

Love that you are still using the standard gear knob! Keeping it true to its roots lol

Another slight annoyance dealt with! Washer level warning light.

Ever since I replaced the OEM windscreen washer reservoir for a smaller kit car item the low washer level light is illuminated. Trivial, but annoying, especially as I also have the airbag light and brake trifecta.

Disconnecting the sensor didn't help, so it must need some resistance. Bought a mixed set of resistors from Amazon. My first guess was 100 Ohms, so stuffed it in the sensor plug and bingo!

Made it neat with some heat shrink connectors and then wrapped it to keep the water out.
