I like it.. Had a similar one with the ice blue dial for a while.. Great value

They are ridiculous value. I've also been looking at their Omega Seamaster 007 copy but its an automatic which is not my favourite format.

Treated my Tudor BBB to a new strap for Christmas, made from a 1932 Swiss ammo pouch. Really pleased with the result as it tones in well with the bronze patina, not that you can see the true patina in these photos.

Love a black bay bronze! that and an Oris carl brasher was the inspiration for me wanting a bronze watch... but i couldn't really afford either at the time and i have always fancied a seamster but couldn't really afford one... so i went about building my own bronze seamaster.

not the best photo but it is starting to age well, and keeps really good time! basically bought a cheap "scrap" omega movement off eBay and rebuilt it, whilst i was doing that i made the bronze case, crown and rotating bezel (access to a cnc mill really helped with this!)

some other watches i have are my daily ball engineer, great watches for the money IMO

thats it with the prototype case for the seamster, the ball is currently in bits for servicing so whilst it was in bits i bought this to use as a daily

"Casioak" in green its really grown on me and I'm not sure there is better value in the watch market currently! comfy and i have never once worried about it whatever i am doing whilst wearing it!

Loving that G Shock a lot great colour

thanks! for me it was £75 well spent! i thought i would go for something a bit different to the standard black, my mate bought the grey not long after which was a cool choice too!

I've been thinking of getting this watch and performing the "Casioak" mod on it. The results look really good

From what i have read on some of the watch forums quality of those kits ranges hugely with no rhyme or reason to which/where is best, quite a cool mod though!

Yes I think you're right on the quality front from some of these AliExpress/Chinese suppliers. I only wish I had the skill to undertake the modifications you've undertaken here - just awesome!!

Looks fantastic, to think you’ve machined your own case is very impressive.

Thanks! for me the machining was the least daunting bits, it was the bits i didn't even consider that took the time and thought! sourcing parts for the movement proved challenging, and a lot of time went into making the bezel rotate smoothly with the right click and only in one direction! the cad modelling took some perfecting too!

amazing stuff

Ok , i'm not on any watch forums & i do appreciate the knowledge base shared on here so before i blow a stash on another watch want to ask for thoughts / opinion , , , , , , Baume & Mercier :? ive read through almost all the previous 100 pages with virtually zero mention of them :(

No real experience of them either, when I have briefly looked at them in the past they have always seemed nice and well made i have always considered their best models to me have been their dressier stuff, part of the same group as cartier, montblanc paneri, jaeger and a.lahnge so quality should be great! their sport models have always just been a bit close to an oris, longines or used omega for me!

One of those brands that fly under the radar, looks to be decent build quality and some nice looking pieces, I often think though when you're spending a couple of K on a watch you often, even if only subconsciously want some prestige to the brand and some just don't cut the mustard, I find the 1-2.5k market awash with Swiss made stuff I just cant bring myself to buy when for 5/600 quid I can get a pretty amazing micro brand watch. I often look at Maurice Lacroise Eikon but just can't pull the trigger at 1500 quid new when for 2k I can get a nice used Breitling or Longines. Anyway a bit of a waffle but just my thoughts on budget Swiss stuff.. Those watches you put up look decent though Andy

They look nice, but I believe only the newer Clifton models have an inhouse movement. For that kind of money, I'd be looking at Oris, Tag, definitely Longines, and even Hamilton or Tissot (Powermatic 80 models).

Picked this up a week ago for the wife, been after a nice example for a while now this came up on TZ sales corner. It’s from 1989

Something a little different. CIGA Design Z Series, skeleton, automatic Seagull movement, titanium case, sapphire crystal . Not the easiest watch to read but that's not its main selling point! I quite like it despite the "kittens of rotor doom"

And the review that prompted me to pull the trigger: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F2DCfk-ZjLE&ab_channel=JustOneMoreWatch

While telling the time with that watch it would play havoc with my eyesight

 Compared to this one its a cinch though  They are both an itch scratched and I love the designs but maybe something a little more conventional next time - there's always a next time with this hobby!
