My Moon Watch
Any chance of seeing the face ? I've almost made up my mind on getting one for my birthday in March :D
Thanks. Just so classy looking without being blingy  I have a Seamaster Chrono Titane which is my 'daily' and I love, but fancy a Speedmaster Moonwatch for 'best' :D 20210102_180553.jpg

Bulletproof just about sums up the Seamaster :D Bought it for my birthday back in 2000. Sent it to Omega in Switzerland through the Omega dealers in Southport in 2010 for a full service/clean and new clasp...£500 ! That was 10 years ago so probably due the same again now. It came back literally like it was brand new, no marks at all on the case and they must've fitted a new bezel as the original had a few marks in the blue anodising...no extra charge. It was shrink wrapped and in a small red embossed zip up case which I still have. It has literally never missed a beat in 20 years. I wear it ALL the time and it gains about 4 or 5 seconds a month...which'll do for me !

Cant beat Seamasters, Ive got two and now looking for no.3... really fancy a Ploprof. Thought it was hideous until I tried one on, especially with the shark mesh bracelet.

The Casio Royale (£14.99 from Argos)

Probably the cheapest watch in my coillection but one of my favourites. Recommend a product called "Goo Gone" to fully remove the lettering on the case. The secret is to be very, very gentle and persevere - easy to overdo it!
I used nail varnish remover, although under very close inspection, need to take a second crack at it to fully remove unwanted text

Treated my Tudor BBB to a new strap for Christmas, made from a 1932 Swiss ammo pouch. Really pleased with the result as it tones in well with the bronze patina, not that you can see the true patina in these photos.

Had a few over the years, good value for money. I am nearly 66 now and my eyes ain’t what they used to be. I would have to put my classes on every time I looked at it

Just taken delivery of this, it has some nice detail. The 4 o'clock screw down crown rotates and locks the internal bezel, quirky!

My Pelagos is due a service so this will used daily for what will probably be a while.

Well my Tudor GMT has decided after a year it's got the date issue... Thankfully this arrived back from Simon Freese to stand in (although no swimming  )

Bought it in 2018. and love it every day. :) I change the bracelet between metal and rubber and that's it. :)

To cement my reputation as a cheapskate this arrived today :) Less than 1% of the cost of the Daytona it's blatantly copying but I'm really impressed with the quality. Seiko quartz movement, sapphire glass, 100m WR, solid links and nice clasp. I've seen some reviews where there have been some quality control issues and negative comments about the clasp but nothing to speak of on this one. All dials and hand line up perfectly and the clasp works well.

I know its not the real thing and there's nothing original about it but £ for £ its surely worth more than 1%!
