I've seen the Rolex Sea Dweller Deep Sea , but I think it's too big in relation to the strap width ..I'm surprised no one on this forum has one .

I'm sure AngieM's partner has a DSSD lying around the living room somewhere...

Probably  but honestly as much as he has admired it he always finds it too big a watch (that coming from a man who wears a AP diver daily?) but I think it looks fine on suppose it's the whole perception thing when you've got it on.

As for a new bracelet from Rolex, 2 options 1) ask them to return the old parts (they have done so with Mikes watches, even the vintage ones) or 2) get your local Rolex dealer to order one and either fit it yourself or get them to do it and then you'll not need to loose the old one.

Btw why does it need a new bracelet? They can replace links and the clasp, they always make it look like new. I've seen the magic they do as unlike your good self Tricky Dicky my other half wore his everyday and never took it off unless he was having a shower but would happily hit it off an engine, the ground, just anything to be honest. If it was getting in the way while working on the car it usually was put on top of the near side strut, as you do.

That's why they are sometimes referred to as tool watches Angie

Paul

Indeed, a tool for a tool  but seriously that exactly what Mike says when our neighbour and the folk in the jewellers who think it should look freak out.

His Dad has an original Pepsi GMT, used it on rigs and stuff and it's still going strong.

If anyone's interested Christopher ward have another sale on!

Really tempted by both the pilot and the jumping hour models maybe placing an order later today unless I can talk myself out of it... Really need to sell some watches not keep buying more!

Can't belive I haven't seen mine yet in this thread!

I just bought one of these through Kickstarter

Nice! When will you get it? Would love to see some real pictures - it could be next on my list too.

Not till May, looks great though and only £130

Bargain. Will be interesting to see the finishing quality and finer details, although for that price, it doesn't matter too much.

Finally got the watch I have been wanting for a rather long time...

Went pre owned and got a pretty good price so I'm happy for now! no more watch purchases for a while, or at least that's what I'm telling myself

Total Classic 8) . Enjoy and wear in health. Not quite so sure about the strap, needs a nice dark tan leather. But thats just me.

Thanks bud! I know exactly what you mean about the strap. The one it's on is a nubuck leather so I'm hoping it's going to mark up a bit and start to look aged pretty quickly, but I do also have a dark brown one on the way too just incase this doesn't age the way I want it to... also considering a rally strap want the proper omega one with the curved ends but that's £250 and not ready to spend that much straight away after buying the watch... Also really like the nasa style velcro straps so this could end up getting expensive
