Probably some fake ones too
(not that that matters except for the brands themselves missing out on some money that they have in abundance)
No fakes in the ones owned by me and my other half but then you wouldn't know that because you don't know us or anything about us. We both have good jobs, his is much better than mines because he's a games designer on a very successful games franchise. Cars, watches and whisky are our thing.

Tell your husband he needs to hire an experienced vehicle artist (not the junior they're currently advertising for)
You're right! They have been well used, over many years. The Seamaster Pro has travelled over 500,000 sea miles, worn during a cricket match at the North Pole and also worn whilst swimming across the equator on more than one occasion! Still runs well though, as do the others. :wink:Angie4m said:But back on topic.....still some interesting pieces being put up. Those omegas could tell a story given the beating they've taken over the years.

Is that very wrong ....lol

Loving some of the watches on this thread - doesn't take much to instil watch envy in me!

(I believe that watches are meant to be worn, not kept in a box, and cars are meant to be driven, not kept in a garage!)

In my eyes replica watches are a big no no, and I would never buy or put one on my wrist, however a well made homage watch is totally acceptable.![]()
I agree with you, whilst all the watches I have posted in this thread are genuine I also have a lot of replicas with prices ranging from £50-£350 I also have one franken-watch that I currently have around £500 in but that may go up if I decide to mod it further with more genuine parts. For me I don't see it to be any different than sticking a set of replica wheels on your car, but I completely understand why some people don't like itzagamuffin said:Hilly30si said:zagamuffin said:Some brilliant watch collections, I love watches as well and have a good few of my own but not afraid to admit they are replicas as I'd find it hard to spend 6/7 grand on a watch that looks and feels similar to my reps.Actually have the funds to replace my fav omega planet ocean with genuine but couldn't do it....... Discuss ???
Always wondered why people feel so strongly on reps, not the pound shop ones obviously but well weighed and made ones, they look the same to 99% of the population and tell the time in a similar fashion ???
Always splits opinion lol

If I had £100 to spend on a watch then id buy a Citizen or Seiko rather than a replica Omega or Rolex.
Like you say, they tell the time the same.
Or is it the fact that you want 99% of the population to think you've spent £3k on a real one?
