Spoke to the dealer principle tonight....BMW sent him some forms to complete last Wednesday, but he still hasn't done them! He assured me they could be returned by Friday......
He repeated to me that if BMW replace the car, it will be like-for-like.....he's happy for me to claim a replacement car and compensation for the hassle...cos that apparently comes from BMW, but he keeps trying to brush the hill start issue under the carpet, cos that is the dealers fault (apparently). So cos I asked for an auto upgrade due to hill start, he realises that will cost him, so is trying to put it down. Unfortunately for him, I will keep fighting for it!
I reckon he's trying to delay it, in the hope these seals fix it, then I think they will go cold on me and say the car is fixed so bugger off.
Well...the seals haven't been fitted yet (thats next week) and theres no guarantee they will actually work!
Personally Kevin, if they do manage to permanently fix the leak with the new seals I would keep the Zed, I'm taking it you have no other issues? Chances are a replacement may leak and you will be back to square one.
Tim.
