Key Roof Down

My roof goes down remotely with the key…but not back up…is this normal?

Mine only goes down from the key which I am sure the dealer told me that is all that it would do but now I want to go out and try it - Have you posted any photos of your car yet Hunter?

If you do a search, its been covered lots. On the e89 you can only put the roof down from the fob. UNLESS, a) you have comfort access on the car, which allows you to put it back up from the fob, or b) you have a smart top installed (again do a search) which also offers this functionality.

BTW, you might want to update your sig to include the fact its an e89/sdrive or whatever just so people not looking at the forum topic/section know what car to help you with

Nah! don't work on mine tried all the buttons.

You have to hold the button for it to work - also have you got the boot roof protector in the right place?

On an E85, to put the roof down, do you just hold the unlock button?

Yes
I had the update done at first MOT in Sept and dealer was clearly in a muddle about what functions should be available from the fob, I had wanted the mirrors to fold in when the car was locked with the fob, but despite telling me it could be done, they didn't manage it.

Don't think so, but I do have mirrors that fold by a button on the drivers door. I'm 30 miles from the car at the moment so can't check, what does comfort access usually include ?

I've always wondered how much battery juice it takes to lower the roof without the car running?

I've never used it, will have to give it a try lol
