Key Fob Roof Down

Both key fobs have stopped opening the roof.Both key fobs do everything else.So what is happening to my car? Top button on both fobs unlock the car middle button locks the car ,bottom button opens the boot.Car battery fully charged up using CTEK on recon program.From now on I will just have to open the roof from inside the car instead of the flash way of walking towards it,so be it.

Invest in a Smarttop !

No close option as std I'm afraid. You need an aftermarket module for that.

Probably. But expensive. New door handles, column, key etc etc. May at well just buy a smart top as others suggest.

(Unless you fancy a project) .

I bought my car at the end of the production run last year so I was very choice restricted and had to accept a pre ordered car - fortunately it had most of the toys I needed but not comfort access or headlight assist!

Don't worry. The headlight assist on the Z4 is absolutely rubbish. I considered asking for a refund on the cost. Yes, it works, but it is crap.

Had my e89 in at the local dealers today for an oil and brake fluid change. Both my fobs now don't lower the roof, apparently the fob needs reprogramming... an hours labour £90, think I'll add some pennies and get a smart top instead!
