Just bought a crashed M, New custom Angel Eyes pg10

I know I haven't posted much since I started the thread as it was put on the back burner a little. I managed to source a driveshaft so the car is now back on the ground and drives. Also painted and fitted my rear quarter the other day although I haven't got any fitted pics atm as it was dark.

Next up is the new front wing

The AE's are just losely sat in there atm as my diffusers just turned up today so couldn't resist seeing how they fit after work.

Looking great can't wait to see it finished. And you driving about in it

The rear quarters easy to get off? Both mine have scratches and dents. What with the bonnet one wing and the boot. I might as well reprint the hole bloody car!!!!

Neither can I and thanks :) no they arent easy to remove. Theres one bolt under the trim between the roof and the bootlid that its seems you need to remove the roof to get it off! Its silly tbh. Other than that it was ok. Why would you remove them though? Your unlikely to find one in the right colour in perfect knick anyway the one I bought needed some slight repairs but looks spot on now :)

Good idea to fit angels if you had to open your lights up, not many of us with AEs on E85/86

Yeah exactly :) I'm suprised how fat and chunky the diffusers from the us are don't really like that. Might have to shave them down to make them a bit more slimline.

Rear quarter after flatting with 1500/2000/3000 then compounding using 3m fastcut plus/extrafine/ultrafina with associating pads 20131127_175505_zpsed0788f7.jpg20131127_175513_zpsecd71f6b.jpg20131127_184402_zps733b6c1f.jpg20131127_184432_zps44a0df32.jpg20131127_185000_zps40c44e04.jpg20131127_185620_LLS_zps0a923b80.jpg

I want paintwork like that :x

Stop being so effing lazy then

Remember I'm no pro, got a head start with paintwork from my dad but when I started all I had was a 20 year old buffer and 20 year old advice, basically all I learnt from my dad was what most detailers shudder at when the sunlight hits the paint. Hologram central. I learnt everything else off the web and just played around :)

Nice work. Reminds me to get on with my final bumper for the rear if the 1 series. Sat in the garage hardening before flatting and polishing.

As you say not difficult and just needs practice and playing around to self teach.

Exactly, and its so rewarding when you achieve what you've been trying so hard to do
