Jingles White 2.0i to 3.0Si conversion is FINALLY done!

Hi all, not been very active on here as usually use the Facebook groups, but thought I would post in here as this is where I started and some of you might recognise my white E85

It started out as a alpine white 2.0i which was 1 of 51 E85s made in white in the UK. I always wanted more power but a manual 3.0Si never came up for sale in alpine white, and as it turns out it was because there was only ever 1 manual white E85 3.0Si made for the UK (as well as only 1 white Z4MR ever made for UK)

So after years of doing cosmetic mods it was finally time to pull the trigger and install the N52 3.0Si engine!

Note I did not do the work so I cannot comment too much on what was involved

What a gorgeous car. I think I recall discussions about whether you should do this or not. I totally get why you’ve done this, (opposed to suggestions of respraying a 3.0si).

The 3.0 n52 is such a good engine!!! It was an alpine white coupe that I had as a desktop background over 10 years ago that got me through my degree, and into a Z! :driving:

You already had a great looking Zed and now the engine to go with it, well done
This is what the other guy in Essex should’ve done.

Nice one. I guess now you'll get down Attleborough High Street at a velocity to match the noise level. :D

Your friend who did the work has done an excellent job. I assume he's done similar before? Was there much electrical and computer-y stuff to sort out?

Look forward to seeing it in the flesh, so if you're down Hargham Road way, pop in for a cuppa so I can have a nosey.

Not too many people have attempted this afaik so good to see it can be done. As above, the mechanicals are probably the easiest part. It's getting all the electronics to play together nicely that is usually the problem!

A stunning looking Z made even better! Kudos for sticking to your original plan vs respraying another.

I was about to piss & moan about just buying the 3.0 to start with but jeez, only 1 in that colour in the whole UK thats wild!
I assume it was the engine and gearbox that was swapped?
Gota ask... what did it sting you for the work

Car looks excellent and I'm sure it will feel so much better now :driving:

I wouldn't own a white car myself as I'm a bit lazy with cleaning but that really is a stunning car. Looks great with the white hardtop, and with the black soft top. Really really nice mate, and now with a cracking engine.

Jingle - what a job. Your love for that car has no bounds! Hope to spot you out and about in it now - well at a point where Norfolk dries out and warms up
