Hey all, after an early start and 4 hour train journey to Barrow-in-Furness I've finally joined the Z4 club :D I've just bought a 2010 deep sea blue 23i M Sport on 19's and despite the torrenential rain verging on hailstones for most of the M6 drive to the M1 it was still a pleasant vehicle to be in. It is a long way composure wise from the boxster s I've just sold and from the E85 3.0si I originally set my heart on however that said, I am throughly pleased with it and I think it will suit us better and be used a lot more than the Si and Porsche. It is by no means a slow car but I will admit the big drop in power is going to take some getting used to but I couldn't afford a larger engined E89 so I'm not complaining. I had a play with the 'sport button' once off the motorway and I've already concluded that I see no point in having the 'normal mode' :driving:
I've also come to the decision that the RF's on the 19's will have to go pretty sharpish and am open to suggestions for any other worthwhile Mods?

A couple of the sellers (Mouse) pictures are below as after nearly 5 hrs driving through some horrible weather (I did manage to get the roof down for 10 mins though :driving:) it's not the most presentable car but more pics will follow....

For sure a different machine to the E85 Si but no shortage of plus points to make up for the lack of whooomph
A decent buy that imo & should serve you well , welcome

Thanks all, now if one of you could arrange some sunny weather it would be much appreciated

Hi Paul, Tring in the SE  that's more like the Midlands :poke:

The start point is TN15 7 RR in Kent so probably a bit far round for your location. It's an hours drive for me to the start and I am in the East

Get your name down for Zedfest in August though

I know some of the guys round that side get down to the Ace cafe often so look out for those threads. Firebobby is Beaconsfield way and I know he gets down there.
Matt (Machine Monkey) was trying to gather everyone from the Oxfordshire area for a few meet ups so might be worth a search.

Hope this helps you out a bit, SE  priceless

Hi and welcome, lovely zed, ditching the rfts is a must, first thing I did to mine.
I'm also just outside Tring, in Wigginton, where abouts are you? There's a meet/drive going on near Oxford on the 22nd if you're interested.

Hi, I'm from Cheddington, you know it? I've never done a meet or drive out of any sort but I fancy doing one however I'm working the 22nd

Ah really I work in Cheddington, on the Old Airfield. I will keep an eye out for you, give me a wave if you see me!

It's a small world! I know a few companies well down there. Rpm, GT Acadamy, Worthingtons, Miles etc.... Wasn't there a lot of police down there this week?

Yes, the surrounding lanes are always full of some rather lovely Porsches going to and from RPM, there's a 964 RS I regularly salivate over.
Were a few police at the gatehouse the other day, I didn't hear what happened though.

Cheers Rob, I can recommend the E89 so far. I aggravated my back Thursday and thought I'd struggle with today's long drive but it was really comfortable and refined evening during some childish fun around the lanes. Plus you're right about the sweet sounding straight six
