The collection video is here , a REALLY special moment for me, i have no idea why this made so happy but it did and has! i dont tinker to much with the z4m but this is perfect to keep me busy during the winter months , gets me out the house and i can create some awesome content with it. if your interested follow the channel as their will be an ongoing series with the metro, which my son has named - TOBY.

The Plans ??

Well their is lots to do! LOTS this will be happening over the new few years ..... First things first is 30 years old, the shell is mint but the paint needs a good detail, and full coverage in PPF film as this thing will be doing the rounds. the subframes etc look tatty and will need removing, blasting, powder coating and re assembling , the shell itself is incredible really but at this time i can deal with surface rust etc.
the dash board will be flocked, and id like to get some sort of carpet down in the car , get some nicely done carbon door panels and just take this build to another level. Its going to the ring! and ill be vlogging the lot and i just know their is going to be tears! This will be a long road but i this thing has put a smile on my face from ear to ear. if the past few years have shown me anything , do something crazy once in a while, feel utterly blessed to be here and able to enjoy this! grateful to god every single day.

Ha, love it! Reindeer me of my first proper hot hatch experience, a 1983 Metro Turbo. Love love love 80s/90s hot hatches. This’ll be fun to watch.

ill keep this updated with progress and video's.....

first tasks, sort the battery tie down out, change the alternator , give it a good service and ENJOY!! Next winter will see the strip down of the underside.

thanks buddy!! metro turbos are INSANE money now days, my dad used to have one and it was a real hoot, sadly it was stolen and stripped back in the 90s.

this era of hatch is my youth and feels SO special to me.

the last time i got so many thumbs ups when driving was when i had my escort cossie    people go mad for it when its out and about.

I was a Vx Nova fan back then; had a 1.0 and a 1.6GSi which was fun. If you want to build a channel, best get it revirewed by the various other YouTubers. I could imagine a HubNut video on it!

i will do eventually, but for now theirs alot that needs to happen with this car , fine tuning it, getting it right, making it more abit more civilised and me really getting stuck in as i want to do as much as i can in house! The part of the channel is really about being fun, i cant say i massively care about views or followers, but mostly i want to have FUN and to document it and share it, flash back a few years ago i was knocking on deaths door and now im here doing stuff like this, the gratitude and general excitement for life is through the roof and has been for a long while.

Definitely a wolf in sheep’s clothing. Love you enthusiasm in the video too.

I've got a real zest for life now days .... I drive Lamborghinis every other week for work but this felt so much more fun / special.

I really love that, and my first car (bought & insured by myself) was a baby-sick Metro 1.0L. My driving instructor taught me in a 1.3L Metro GTA

However, I've always hankered after a Z-Cars Hillman Imp conversion (car or bike engined), after seeing a couple at hillclimbs I was marshalling.

Like this 300bhp turbo Volvo engined one.

Or this bike-engined one:

Although mine would have to look as close to an original Imp to work as a sleeper :P

I like that, I like that a lot.
Nostalgia for me too. My mum's Metro was the first car I drove after passing my test in 1985. She also had a white Metro GTi of the same year as that one.

That’s a crazy little thing, it must be so much fun!

Someone came and picked up some MG parts from me via a forum 17-18 years ago when I was at uni in Brum and living in Selly Oak; he was driving one of these with this engine! I can’t remember any specifics about the actual car, but it was insane when he drove off down Bristol Road!!

Once had a drive of a corsa A with a red top turbo. Let’s say it was just an engine swap and a body kit only, terrified me

I’m sure we’ve spoken about this. My mate rallies one of these, with his 17 YO daughter as his co-driver. It’s fucking nuts, as is he. I can honestly say I sh!t myself every time I get in the Metro with him  it’s lightning fast and handles like nothing else. His is called Daisy :D

I’ve had a few, a 1.0 was the only thing I could insure after 2nd ban  but also had an MG and MG turbo, all hilarious cars for fun, even the 1.0 never forget the hydrolastic suspension and paying £8.50 a side to get it pumped up

Enjoy it bud, you deserve it :driving:
