Is this the lowest mileage Garage Queen for sale?

Haven't been on the forum for a few days, 200+ topics to get through but this one caught my eye...!

Welcome to the Imola M club Stu...?! :)

Not yet, but subject to everything I asked for coming through this morning, I'll put a returnable deposit on it pending test drive, visual inspection etc

Good man Stuart! This makes more sense to me than the 35iS. Your Alpina is a special car with pedigree and I think it would've been a shame to change it for a mainstream model without such a pedigree (albeit the 35iS is a very nice car indeed).

Your approach with this one takes me back to when I bought my M. I bought it from the 'Coming Soon' section on the BMW site. It had only been online for 30 minutes! I beat an ex-Forum member to it as well (chap called Glastoveteran).

I hope your test drive seals the deal. I love the Z4MR in Imola Red. Pictures just do not do that colour justice at all.

Awesome news, haven't read the whole thread but where about's is it? The link on the first post just shows 'awaiting images', do you have pictures? How exciting!

God damn you bought it :D

Interesting thought I could have paid £5k-ish to wipe 60k miles off & swap everything over :)

Would seem a shame to put miles on it now though :driving:

Very cool !

Well done, you are braver than me.

I think I'm going to wait for late March/April when the best deals are done. Would be heart breaking for me to see a zed with less miles sell for less than something I bought. Sad to think my last one was such a steal!

I don't think you should have that problem!

First thing you'll want to do is replace the OEM Continentals as as they'll be like ditchfinders after nearly 6 years and 6000 miles.

And why would you take a picture showing the surface corrosion on a brake disc, tyre & rear bumper with a leaf on it.

Inside is a bit dull too - black with hints of black with black highlights.

The driver's carpet is a bit dirty considering it's only done 6000 miles.

:poke:

Interesting story that added flavour to the negotiations

The service history was incomplete and resulted in me pushing back on them. My final offer was free inspection 2 now, and written confirmation from BMW themselves (not Sytner) that the warranty would be honoured. I have that commitment from BMW that once Sytner have validated with them that an Inspection II has been carried out they will confirm in writing that the warranty is intact. Also got a years road tax, refund of the 12 months tax on the Alpina.

The cost to change price is close to my initial offer (very close indeed) and means I won't have to spend the money renewing the warranty on #69. Given the cost of an inspection 2 and tax, I'm really really happy with the deal. It's all subject to visual inspection and test drive but otherwise... SOLD!

Ooh

Sounds good mate, it's good when you can work out a deal you are totally happy with

And sounds like a great car too

No I didn't, but although it's a cost to change rather than absolute price, #69 has depreciated precisely £150 over 18 months (plus what I've spent on her etc)

Retail cost of Insp II is going to be £850+ (after price matching) and a years road tax another £400 so that's another £1200+ worth of sweeteners plus a letter from BMW confirming an intact warranty

I'll also feel a little more comfortable doing mods to this than to #69 (warranty notwithstanding)

Of course if I start humming and hahing at the dealer I wonder if I could get that thrown in...

Congratulations, when's the test drive?

What's the betting that you'll now get a call from the dealer saying that they'd accept your offer on the 35is 8)

Congrats looking forward to seeing some pics!!

I did that too, but got a new set of tyres, pads all round, InspII and the warranty to sweeten it. Took 3 weeks to sort tho as they wouldn't budge!

that car would look amazing with these http://www.demotivationalposters.org/image/demotivational-poster/0902/penis-rims-demotivational-poster-1234384607.jpg

Congratulations Stuart
