Intravee & Alpine unit (not mine) - and some other random

Bummer on the battery buddy, I thought your intravee was easy to access?

Wimped out, didn't remove the nav unit & thought I would try the less invasive method as a first step.

Dribbled some pfte spray over a needle and let a small amount feed the plastic area that clip together at the sides. Also did a few other parts under the glovebox, for the time being, I now have a rattle & creak free car

I did find something I have no idea what it is, below the glovebox, about an inch in towards the bulkhead there is a small rectangular piece of plastic that has a rattle, rotates freely, and doesn't seem to have a method of fastening it tighter? Checked on my wife's car & exactly the same. Bit of adhesive foam sees it not rattle, but what is the part? Seems to have a lip at one edge, but cannot see how / if it is meant to clip into the plastic to the left of it (looking towards the front of the car).

Thanks again for all your help on Saturday!

Matt

It is for someone like me with surgical fingers, but not for someone who has clumps of meat hanging off his arms pretending to be fingers

I can lend you a gas nailer - it can drive 90mm ring nails so should be good enough to nail PVR to a wall

Knowing Bing, he would have it the wrong way around and nail himself to the wall ….

It drips in the tray first, so a few drips a day - you won't notice until at least a few weeks and when you try to change gears then ....

How much I would love to agree with you on that, I can't ... The reservoir is split in two parts - one for the brakes, one for the clutch.

Believe me, on the first one I did, I bled the clutch for ages until I realised that the clutch reservoir was empty (whilst it looks full due to the brake fluid one in front of it).

I know, but they didn't :headbang:
