A mate recently went on a speed awareness course.. one of the written questions was what is the speed limit on a dual carriage way..60 apparently 8) :headbang:

Googled it because if not believing...... Speed limit on dual carriage way is 70 MPH. :driving:

National speed limit is 60mph and 70mph on dual carriageways :thumbsup:

Only if towing a trailer - won't be doing that in mine or 70 come to think of it :rofl:

Good to see that those running the courses don't seem to even know what the limit is. :evil:

As for "Smart" motorways, welcome to Thames Valley. :headbang: It took over 3 years to turn a bit of the M3 into one, and now they are doing the same to a stretch of the M4 just to make sure our nearest Motorways are no longer fit for purpose!

I use dual-carriageway A roads whenever I can because it's quicker, and there aren't any reduced limits or cameras. :D
