Hot boot/trunk

Arrived home after 2.5hr drive and I took a couple of bags out of the boot. Noticed they were quite hot :fuelfire:

Just wondering if that's normal? Has anyone else noticed this too?

No, I regularly do the weekly shopping in mine ( ) and the boot never gets hot. Could heat be leaking in from a sticking brake calliper (does one of your wheels get very hot?) or a failing diff. Or is the amp getting hot, if you have one (in the battery compartment pre-facelift, or on the firewall post-facelift)?

Thank you for your message. I will explore all of those you have mentioned. I really hope its nothing to do with the diff as I assume that could get expensive :headbang:

Do you still have the heat shields fitted above the exhaust?
Thank Martin, I will take a look to make sure. Pretty sure I have seen the heat shield there. Assume I would have noticed that on a number of occasions by now. I am thinking this is something more intermittent.

Thanks gents!
I have a feeling it was my enthusiastic driving over a prolonged period and the boot being pretty full

Will shout back if it occurs without same conditions. Many thanks all :driving:
