Have a had a drive and performance is awesome, the biggest standout is the magnetic dampers on all surfaces, awesome considering 19s with 235/35 profiles. I think it would take a while to get round the trade in turbo torque for usual revvy vtec but it's all good. The only tech drawback is lack of configuration of the r+ button, but you could see that possibly coming in later fixes.
The rest is subjective dependning on what you're after.
It's still massively practical, I can sit behind the driver comfortably with driver seat in my position (I'm 6ft) and the flat load bay is truly breadvan like. The build quality is a step up from old honda's but the materials not as plush as bmw/audi.
The most questionable thing is the looks, but in black/grey with spoiler delete (although it supposedly gives downforce) and silver wheels it would be toned down massively and less banzia.
I do like the 135, as I love breadvan coupe silhouettes but it doesnt qualify as a practical car as you can't get adults in the back.
The closest thing for comparison would be a golf gti/r which would be interesting to compare for build and ride but that would be too bland.
It's an interesting sector at the moment. The Ford RS looks like it could slip into the sweetspot between Type R and Golf R, but it's still in gestation period
