Yes a CLS350 diesel or petrol would be nice, probably hard to get a petrol engine these days.

Not so practical as a four door but four seats and decent sized boot!

Again, thanks all. Definitely some food for thought there. I'm not sure what I'll end up doing but I do know I'll take it easy making any type of decision. My problem has always been obsession. I see something, obsess hugely and somehow find the way to make it happen - so nobody post a picture of a Massa GranTurismo okay?!

Not for me Woots. Don't like the rear lights. For me the rear lights are one of the top 3 things I look for aesthetically with a car. They have to look cool and I'm afraid the Gransport has more than a whiff of the Rover 400 about it. I'd be thinking that every day I opened the garage door.

Now the 3200 and those boomerang lights....ah, a different story

I came back just to suggest the M135i! Looks horrid (to me at least) but you can't deny the bang/buck factor! Same with the Mercedes A45 AMG, i know it's not out yet but they say it'll be on par with the BMW price-wise and it's got 4WD (albeit mostly FWD) and 335hp or thereabouts.

A45 AMG revealed on Autocar website today. It's going to be £36k basic, probably early £40's with options. Not sure about it - still looks a bit people carrier to me.
