Spent a lot of time in my childhood around North Yorkshire but its not a area ive driven so Ive recently been looking into a drive up to the highest pub in UK & staying the night .

The Tan Hill road is a good one, been done on a few of the Nationals in years gone by....always worth a drive up there :driving:

Yea i got up there a few Saturdays back via Kettlewell & Reeth , then home via Buttertubs/Hawes/Ingleton & into the Ribble Valley via Bentham
Had a great day - 150 miles covered :driving:

Yeah. Mr Wilks, the Buutertubs and Ingleton to Hawes roads are very decent and enjoyable.
You should get yourself to the National Lakes n Dales meet in 2016...some cracking roads inc these very often :D :driving:

My parents live just outside Hexham - the roads around there are amazing, the trip over Hartside top is wonderful and I'd love to come along to this... but I live in Hampshire :-(

Enjoy what will be a great day out.

You should organise a trip to see your folks and come out with us as well :D Now there's an idea

(Just got back from a trip to Hexham for lunch with Steph at our favourite café and a watercolour of the view from Hexham bridge showing the Abbey and town hangs in our living room). It's a great base for some brilliant drives

Have put you on the list Mr 'Martian' - it was a delight to meet with you and Andrea today - hope you can make it
