Be careful with the highlighted bit, as mine said the same to me. But when push came to shove and they were heading to court for a decision - due to an argument about the reasonableness of a £2k repair bill and a £5k hire car bill - they told me that if my statement didn't tally with what they were claiming then they'd try to recover some of their losses from me.Ewazix said:They make a snap decision on likely blame and once they take the case they won't charge for the hire car or service whatever the outcome.

It seems there's a clause in the contract that says I must act in the interests of the accident management company if it goes to court, otherwise their 'whatever the outcome' insurance won't cover me.
If they'd have lost, even with my 100% positive assistance, then I'd have been fine. But if they'd lost, or won less, and I'd been a hindrance, they said they 'could' chase me for the difference.
I stood my ground and told them that I'd agreed to the hire car cost (as I'd been told how expensive it was, but had little choice of car), but hadn't agreed to all the extras like £100 each way delivery, £50/day insurance matching (for 2nd driver, business use, European travel, etc.), £10/day excess mileage, 5 days extra rental as the bodyshop didn't have time to do my car and so just left it in the car park for a week when I could have been using it.
In my case, the 3rd party insurer also accepted liability (not immediately though, so gave up their chance to offer me a cheaper hire car), they just disputed the £5k extra on top of the repairs.Ewazix said:Good to be waryHence I emphasised the bit about being SURE of the other side accepting liability which we had from the outset including an admission to the Police. The guy was a lunatic driver but honest, a rare combo'

Looking at the damage depending how they assess it could be a write - which i hope not.
My door had a scratch which came to a £1200 repair. Yours has at least 3 panels and wheels/ aligntment... Which if it comes up to 60-75% value they could write it off.
