So, after a week of debating and heart v head decisions, my car has finally gone

Collected this morning, and now en route to BMW. One final shot of it leaving - just glad it was torrential rain so it didn't look as good!

Its been a fantastic experience owning this car, and I've loved every minute of the 27 months worth of ownership. If anyone thinks they want to get one of these - do it. You won't regret it. It really hit me last night as I was cleaning it out, but its done now.

So, on with a car search. My sensible choices have changed a little but going for practicality for a while, and probably going to get an X5. Won't be the same, but looking forward to the search.

I'm gonna miss this car - but will cherish the memories!!!

I know the feeling  trouble is they look great when they are being driven off  and you think i really like that car :?

On a lighter note, glad I don't live up north as we are baking in sunshine here and have been for a while now :D

Not had a drop of rain here in my part of Liverpool for 4 days.

You definitely made the right choice Senwar - I'm glad you went through with it.

Let's just hope the X5 is good! (I presume you're spending a lot less on one?)

Shame to see it go. Good memories and less bills though!

I've a friend selling a black diesel x5 with nav etc if you're interested (always doing deals me!).

Don't be a stranger....

Thanks for the comments all.

Yes, it was/has been a gutting experience, that I expect will hit me more come the weekend when I don't have my blast mobile available.

pvr - yep. we've had flash floods in Sheffield again goddam it. My mrs got drenched walking about 3 feet from her car to the front door when she got home.

IK - my budget for the X5 has increased now, although will still be a cheaper option than my M.

Ian_Mac - the car was taken to Harold Wood BMW, Romford yesterday. I think they may have someone lined up though.

outrun - yes possibly interested - will PM you.

Will definitely stick around. Its a good forum, and good people. I still use the TT forum 4 years after selling my TTR!

There is also a forum www.x5drivers.co.uk

There are quite a few owners of Z's with X5's as second cars so you are not the only one with the Z (well, formerly then :) )

I was stuck on Attercliffe Road for an hour the other day!! Thank god for Facebook Mobile

Heavy rain again yesterday, Asda was flooded at lunchtime so i had to walk through a massive puddle, i had my 3 inch heels on and it still came up to my ankles

I'm in Salcombe and it's baking.. couldn't be hotter

Senwar - I'm so afraid of the feeling you've got right now I think I'll keep mine as an ormanent long after it's expired.. the thought of seeing someone take it off up the road would make me weep like a baby.

Gutted for you fella, maybe one day you'll get another

Cheers Andy.
