One thing I do like, on a forum for sports cars, full of men, it's a woman that's purchased the first manual M40i 8)
That's cos we already have a stick to grab

Would have thought paying the price you no doubt have, you would have been able to select which tyres you preferred?

Lovely, just a pity all the SFR's were sold out. :P
I did think about, for about 30 ms, the other choice was frozen grey, but with all the added gloss black trim the black sapphire will look awesome

Congratulations sars, a great choice.
Thanks, I don't need to convince you about the thrill of a manual

I've been pushing to get the 800M wheels swapped for the all black 799M, however its just not an option for them to add this, even though you can fit them in Germany :headbang:

Definitely not!

In over 40 years I've only ever had 4 Autos, and only because those cars didn't really exist as manuals.

my first two zeds were both manuals and I wouldn't be surprised if the e89 manual is the same gearbox as this.
I do hope it's better. The B58 is a great engine and deserves to be mated to a decent gearbox.
My wife would have liked a G29 as her latest steed, but she will not entertain the idea of an automatic car. Which I find strange, cos she can't drive for toffee. :D
If people buy the 'hand shandy' version in decent colours, it could be a used option in a few years.

Sars. I hope it is as good as it sounds.
PS. what is the price? Asking for a friend. :)

The gearbox and feel, from what I've read/watched, is very good and was tailored for the Zed/Supra.

Congratulations Sars, looking forward to your updates and reviews of it, again, asking for a friend

Price wise, BMW are offering circa £5.5k discount, plus a BMW loyalty bonus of £1.5k, plus a dealer contribution and 4.9% APR. No haggling, it was straight forward, pleasant, easy and with a small amount of pressure to place a deposit to secure a build slot that may or may not be real. Thanks Emily@Boston BMW

[ref]Argyll Andy[/ref], of all the guys on here, you are the one I would have thought beat me to a manual Z4 M40i, given how much you love "driving" yours :driving:

Looking forward to the Pics. Rich lady in a sexy sports car, whats not to like

I'll get in there before anyone else does, two out of three ain't bad :P

Be an interesting investment if they’re really going to stop making Z4’s

Really warmed to the G29, this’ll be, IMO, the icing on the cake

Ah, I see, i thought you meant the rear wheels were a bigger diameter than the fronts.

Pay attention silly, that's exactly what I meant, 19" x 9 front and 20" x 10 rears, so its 255/35 R19 and 285/30 R20
Well that's odd isn't it?

The Lotus Elise has larger diameter rear wheels than its fronts
