Do you seek these people's approval prior to buying a car? Why need it after?
Hairdresser etc comments say more about the person saying it than who it's aimed at.

For me a guy driving a Z'd is normal, I giggle when I see men driving the E88 especially older men as it's just not the group that car was aimed at but each to their own.
Bet the guy who thought it was girly would have driving a MG back in the day or and E Type. Just ignore them it's probably the guy trying to justify why they can't have one when actually he possibly can't afford or want to buy what the wife wants.
I see women behind the wheel of countless facelift 2.0 roadsters in black and silver.

I pull onto the drive as a couple are walking past my house and I hear the woman say "see, it's not a girlie car there's a bloke driving it".............!![]()
To make matters worse my brother makes hairdresser jokes every time he sees it...... "But it's 3 litres" I feebly try to protest' "it's a proper roadster" of course it makes no difference to his remarks of "so when can I get my highlights done" :violent1:
Anyone else?
Not in Edinburgh. Most verts are driven by blokes. Two Z4s across the road, blokes, the 350 slk next door, blokes. MX5 owner across the way, bloke. 330 across the road, blokes. Every E85 I've seen recently all blokes. Slk round the corner, bloke funnily enough.
Very occasionally I'll see a E88 driven by a woman never with the roof down which makes me wonder why they bought the car but usually more guys than gals. Maybe it's just Scottish blokes that really like a vert more than the females?

....my mum is 46 and drifts a nissan silvia s15 on weekends ......Carol M said:All this 'girlie car' talk but what does it mean?
Does it mean that a car has no balls?
Does it mean only girls are allowed to drive it???
Does it mean its a car that's only able to be driven by girlies who can't handle 'big powerful manly cars' :x
Which all or either is insinuating that girls can't or shouldn't drive what these numpties deem as man cars. Absolutely ridiculous.
I'm off to the piss boiling thread. :x
