I heard it's not available and a lot of people cancelled their orders because of it.

Sars, do you know if this was this a planned stop for August or is it maybe due to parts shortages? As I said in my previous post, I’m with you, the HK would be a deal breaker for me on one.
I’m with [ref]Scubaregs[/ref], I think in this circumstance, I’d be asking for confirmation rather than because they’re not telling you it’s ok. I think one of the previous posters said customers were getting contacted at some point advising them of the amendment.
Feeling your pain being without one, the only bonus is the weather’s been sh!t :lol:

I attempted to order GTS 4.0 last summer. After a week, order was cancelled, because dealer couldn't get production slot.
I asked about the HK situation specifically when I was ordering in mid-July, expecting that it'd be unavailable since it had been deleted from the order I'd placed for a different model earlier in the year. In all honesty I was half-hoping it'd be the same situation with the Z4, since the spec I was after was just a couple of hundred quid over the £40k threshold so if HK was unavailable it might drop back below - but it was not to be; the sales manager checked for me and the official line is "the configurator is up-to-date with the latest prices and unavailable options, so if HK is showing up, it'll be available". Sure enough, going through it and comparing it against the prices in the online brochure show some of the packs have been reduced in price slightly because they're missing bits here and there...
Of course, this could all change when they come to build it, especially since this is my second attempt at getting a car built this year; fingers crossed, though, especially since the planned delivery date is w/c 20th December. Going to be one heckuva Christmas present!

Porsche can sell a lot of their cars many times over as soon as they announce them, so unless you've bought a good few others you have no chance of getting on the list.
When I was buying my 718, salesman showed me a new Cayman GTS a customer had bought to use for six months whilst waiting on another Porsche they had ordered which would be sold back to Porsche when the one on order arrived.
