The thing that really killed it for me was that I asked with 10-12k a year what hit could I expect to take after 2 yrs, £30k for the GTS and at least £35k on a Spyder. That’s almost the cost of an M40i and once you add in Porsche’s 10%+ interest rates it’s pretty close to covering the whole cost of the M40i.
I didn’t look at the 4 cylinder one as I would want the 6![]()
You pair of tight arses….my spec comes out at £89,500…..
Sars no it’s not worth it for a daily, not in anyone’s book. Once you have your M40i you’ll forget all about a GTS. It’s just imho obvs but unless you’re doing early Sunday mornings and really enjoy touring in one along with very very enthusiastic driving in a light car then the Zed is easily capable of matching one for more everyday stuff.
I am tempted with the Boxster S as it is more reasonably priced, but I do believe that the M40i is the better daily driver, it just lacks that extra bit of kudos as a drivers car, but more than enough for me. The technology in the zed is also much superior and the inside of the Boxster is getting dated now. I’d like to eventually own a Porsche but when you get to £89k that’s 911 territory. Anyway here’s my attempt at a very reasonable £64k

Hi I picked up my new Boxster 4.0 GTS at the end of last month , I waited 9 months for it & it cost more than 80 but less than 85 k , is it better than an Z M40i I cant say because I haven't driven one of those but I can say the Boxster is bloody amazing and worth every penny , looks are subjective and the G29 has grown on me but I think the Boxster is better looking , I will agree the Tech is outdated though

My car is due towards end of October. Should I wait the extra week and get it registered in November? Will the later month make any difference to value or negligible?
Thank you , yes Crayon was one of my other possible choices but I wondered how hard it would be to keep looking cleanArgyll Andy said:sars said:Well hats off to you, that’s a brave choice of colour

Basically, I’ll see when it arrives and decide then. No point losing a whole month of tax for the sake of a few days.
Saying that it’s what £50 I’ll be losing out on when I need to renew the tax?
