That is a shocker! Fortunately doesn't seem to happen too often. The seller should do the honourable thing and give it to you with £100 off the price after all the hassle you've had.
Suspect though that it won't happen and if he did you'd tell him where to put it.

I would like to add that you changed your offer from all cash to half cash half bank transfer( not the offer that was agreed) the evening before and then the next message I had after that which was at 1.13am (not exactly a reasonable hour) then changed it back to all cash. By the time I got this message it was the morning it was meant to happen, as soon as I read the message I got in contact with my gf parents and that is when I found out they were out for the day. You then offered to come down the Sunday which unfortunately I run a pub and Sundays are the busiest days of the week.

half cash, half bank transfer with a days notice for that sort of cash seems perfectly fair to me..
most bank machines wont let you take out that much in advance and tv would have had to sort out if he could get to a branch on a saturday.

if you'd said half cash half cheque, you'd have a point.. but bank transfers are instant and irreversible - better than cash imo.
