Front suspension collapse ?

Used mole grips and got the bolt off, think i've bought the wrong spring compressor as i can't get the spring short enough to put it all back together :headbang: think i'll take the strut and new spring to my local garage and get them to fit the bloody thing.

Try compressing the spring and top mount in place at the same time
 
I can't get the new spring compressed enough to get the top mount on (old spring snapped and was hanging off)
 
You need the floor standing hydraulic ones. You need to locate spring and top mount into the compressor.
Take shock and spring to a garage You will really struggle/never do it with diy ones.

And if you get the Clarke 1T one you have to modify it so it will compress the spring enough :roll:
 
I just ordered some Kilen 11105 for the front of mine from fleabay. MTEC ones, going on next weekend, hopefully they last ok
