That's because I moved the site to a new server and the certificate had to be re-issued.... should all be ok now though

You can say that again... invested in a new server and in the end it seemed to stem from a huge amount of traffic from Singapore! Oh well, have improved things behind the scenes at the same time so hopefully it's a bit more bullet-proof in future
