Yes, it was probably the best one this year!

Great to see 2 Brits on the podium and all 3 in the top 5 for the 2nd race running.

It was a good race but not better than the Canadian GP.

I need to make time to watch that one. Too busy being retired though. :D

I see normal service resumed for Max.

When he’s struggling and up against competition he tries every dirty trick in the book

This is the British GP weekend and apart from the on-track racing action, there will be plenty of other activities in and around the Silverstone Circuit including the Stormzy concert on Friday. Right before the concert and after the FP2, fans can also be part of this meetup to meet and talk with fellow F1 fans from all over the World.

All there is to be said is (in the words of Pete Bonnington):

"get in there Lewis".

Another record made at Silverstone. First driver to win nine times at the same circuit.
He has had a tough few years, but his class is permanent.

Got to feel for George, though. Bad luck at the worst of times. :(

and if Norris wants to be a World Champion, he needs to stamp out those silly mistakes.

Yes, that will play on his mind. Two GP he could/should have won and his own mistakes cost him.

Nice to see Lewis can still do it.

Red Bull did everything right and came second. That will be worrying them too.

About time, F1 is getting interesting again, they're back to racing. I recon Adrian Newey popped a tiny piece of carbon fibre from the Red Bull into his top pocket, can't wait to see what happens next year when he glues it on to Lewis's Ferrari.

This was the first live race I've watched for a few years and what a race it was, three different British leaders and all by overtakes, excellent stuff. Well done Lewis, good to see you back at the front, commiserations Lando, sometimes these decisions work (Lewis) sometimes they don't.

Yup, and just when everyone catches up and we get some close racing and actual overtakes........................... oh yeah, lets change all the regulations again. :headbang:

Well that was another really exciting race. :D

Very pleased for Lewis to get his first win since 2021. Sorry for Lando, but at least he got on the podium! Gutted for George being told to retire the car, but I suppose with a water leak maybe the team was worried about facing a power unit penalty.

Looking forward to the next race now.

The results look really unpredictable now, and at least new regulations don't come into force until 2026!

The Great British Summer weather did play a big part in it being so interesting, though.
Maybe all the GPs should be held here; it would make the 'strategists' earn their keep. :)

Just wonder if Lewis had joined McClaren instead of Ferrari would he have a better chance of nailing another world championship?

They do seem to be the up and coming team.

I think McLaren are quite happy with the drivers they have!

And for Lewis it would be a bit "been there, done that".

On recent performance and developments I suspect he may wish he'd stayed put.

Has Newey gone to Ferrari? If so that would be a very good reason to turn Red. Plus every true F1 Champ needs to drive for Ferrari at some point. Its how the world should be. 8)

Edit a quick Google and no move yet.

It is boring at times, like to see the under dogs better themselves but hats off to Hamilton this week, shame he is leaving the Merc behind, lets see what he can do with the Reds, if they sort themselves out. I do like the technical side of things wish there was more content on the actual engineering involved but they like to keep all that to themselves don't they? Agree with what's been said about the Driver's of today compared with the old school of yesteryear its all too technical, totally different talent required.

I read that Aston Martin are trying hard to sign Newey. Lawrence Stroll chucking more money at his kids' aspirations!

But you're right about Ferrari being a big draw for F1 Champions. Mansell, Alonso, Schumacher, Vettel - they've all been there.

Lewis has signed for Ferrari due to Fred Vasseur. He was instrumental in Lewis being signed by Ron Dennis all those years ago. They are big mates.

Fred is a very well respected and liked character in the F1 world. He spent many years 'behind the scenes' so not a household name until now.

Lewis' name ain't gonna hurt Ferrari, no matter what happens. From Lewis' perspective he wants to bow out with an eighth championship to hold every record there is, and Ferrari will have promised him their best shot at that. If it doesn't happen, the money and sponsorship deals will probably set another record anyway, plus Ferrari get the development aspect that people like Hammy bring.
All IMO. :)
