Fitting a double DIN aftermarket radio

I finished this project, stay tuned for photos in the next few days. I managed to put the kicker comp 8" subs in and all polk audio. The head unit bezel is still curing. Have no idea how to attach photos here nor do I have patience tonight.

im still not conviced by how much these stick out of the dash. its a shame you cant get a calbe that will allow the screen to be mounted remotely

Been having a play on the cad this morning, not fully finished...... would anyone be interested in the finished 3d cad to get these made??

These do need to sit flush, no questions!

Can't you run subs off the original HU?

Agreed!
Yes you can using high level inputs that many amplifiers have (not the best way but it works), but that it not the reason for going double din.

Is that designed to sit flush with the lines of the dash? If so you need to bare in mind that double din HU's sit further out at the top than they do at the bottom, I positioned mine so that the top of the cage is flush with the dash and as a result the bottom sits recessed by maybe 5-10mm.
Nice work!

I hope this works...
As far as putting the 8" subs behind the seat that took some creativity and fabrication. Touchscreen, Full iPod integration, bluetooth, video, flush fit and sounds great. Lot of work though taking all the interior out and putting back in.
