First experiences of the M

Looks great. Actually like the colour of the leather against interlagos.

Stubby and zhp knob for the first mods

Nah, I`ll leave the M standard. NOt a big fan of aftermarket knobs and I listen to the radio a lot so the standard aerial will be fine (the stubby has worse reception apparently).

I really like the look of the CSL wheels on the Z4 but I`m really liking the improved ride comfort in the M (I drive many miles) so I`ll be keeping the standard Z4 M wheels until I retire it from daily use hopefully in a year, might consider the CSL`s then. Not too bothered really, care less about the looks and more on enjoying the drive really. I might consider getting a second set of standard Z4 M wheels later to have one set as spares, anyone know the cost?

There's been a few sets for sale lately, I'd say you're looking at £600 upwards depending on condition. Obviously you may pick them up cheaper if they're needing tyres etc.

Dealer prices are over £300 per wheel not including tyres so I was told when I asked. Sourcing a 2nd hand set shouldn't be hard though.

£1500+ for genuine CSL's - never mind the tyres. This car is absloutely wasted on you & your "mates" on pistonheads. You haven't got a clue about maintaing cars & certainly don't deserve to own an ///M car.

I have been watching/reading this forum for 12 months & have wet my trousers reading the ridiculous questions posed by "enthusiasts!".

I have come to the conclusion (at 53 years old) that the idiots buying Z4M's are in their 20/30's & spend all day - at the cost to their employer - on the BMW forums.

If I was your employer I would sack you immediatly!

Get a life you lot. Go and serve in Helmand, Iraq etc & see what only 2 days does to your life. You have NO IDEA how lucky you are. BETTER people than you are putting down their live's daily under constant mortar/sniper attack.

Think about it in your cosy s**t holes, ripping Joe Public off for your pathetic bonuse's.

At 53 years of age I'd have thought you could read a post correctly and see that Darren M was asking the price of standard Z4M alloys not CSL's.

Well, after reading all the posts on this forum over the months I've been on here, I must admit that that post is the biggest waste of words yet!

At 53, I'd have hoped he had eventually matured!!

ShittingBull your posts do make me chuckle sometimes, why are you so bitter?

I was going to lock this thread but seeing as Darren M and anyone else reading is unlikely to be offended by your drivel I thought it may be better keeping it open.

It's Mike isn't it? Must admit your contribution has stirred me from the Monday blues. Many thanks

I thought I was the only idiot in my fifties, nice to know there's another one (who can't even read a post properly).

TBH I find your comments insulting to the brave lads who are out in Afghanistan, their deeds and actions do not require trivialising on this forum by someone like you.

LOL, he's been on here for 12 months and only posted 7 times.... and apparently he has wet his trousers... poor guy

Been out enjoying the car today, enjoying it more and more now, had a good (but safe) blast through some country lanes for about 60 miles. Again it was nice to not fight the steering wheel to avoid tramlining into either a hedge or oncoming traffic. The engine is really drivable. It`s not quite as flexible as the 3.0 at the low end but pretty close. I can feel the higher torque coming on further up the rev range and it picks up speed faster than you realise because of the consistent smooth power delivery.

Espicially for ShittingBull, I`ve been out putting my "I love pistonheads" stickers on all the windows. I was thinking about hand painting some white stripes over the car but I`ll save that for another day :D

No offence taken here. I hope when they read the previous posts they may see things differently. If not, go to the link below ShittingBull to see another car I didn`t deserve to own - you`ll pi** yourself even more. That particular car is one of just 500 ever made, bought as a restoration project I brought it back from near death. It`s now in the hands of another enthusiast with more time. At 52, I`m sure you remember those cars back in the day.....M power at their best. Even with 120,000 miles on the car, on a dyno with an operator I know (so results trustworthy), it produced MORE than the BMW quoted figure of 220bhp.

Thats a lovely E30 mate. I would love one like that.

I have a 2nd set of Z4m wheels if you want to make an offer at some point. I bought CSLs and have these in storage. If I dont sell them I will put them back on the car if I ever sell it. The CSLs are a good investment as they will always be worth something.
