Yep that includes the bracket as well, otherwise i would have used the link.

Makes sense then. Hope you get the screws with it. IIRC they are a fairly stubby but wide affair. Def nothing long or pointy...lol
 
Guys

Got the box plus bracket plus screws. However, the screws seem to be a right pain to install. Either there is no thread in the holes, or the screws supplied are too big. Did anyone fitting this extra have any trouble getting the screws into the holes? Do I just have to be a bit more brutal? The supplied screws look to be more like self-tapping screws.

A check on realoem suggests that the screws I have been given are not the right ones (I have part no 72128235266 which is listed as an airbag screw) insofar that realoem doesn't identify the screw needed. I can't find the right screw part number. Anyone have the right screw part number?

Frankly I'd take the seat out to fit the bracket as it's only 4 torx and a loom connector. Disconnect the battery first else you'll trigger an airbag alert if you turn the ignition on with the loom off.

No idea on screw part number but IIRC they ar very short fat blunt ended hex or torx screws
 
stupid question I know but what are you guys storing in these, something that doesnt rattle around I asssume.

I lined mine before fitting. Keep keys, sunglasses, camera, etc. in it. Easier than twisting around to the central or behind seat storage and since lined does not rattle at all.

Did fit mine without taking the seat out, but you have to be a bit of a Gynecologist to do it (not that I am lol)
 
Thanks people. I was rather thinking that removing the seat might just be the easier option as I am not a gynaecologist either! I have to repeat the activity on the M3 as well; I am using my wife's Z as a trial run!

However, I will have a trial fit of a range of various screws/bolts that I have lying around just to see if there is a better fit. The screws I have are torx headed.

The bolts given do fit, they are just a bit tight, try srewing them in first to "cut a thread" before fitting the finally

oops :oops: well I did type it while I was on the phone, call it phonetics :D
 
Agree with above, the screws will be tight to start with but once the thread starts to cut they fix fine. I only used two screws the central fixing on the bracket is not needed.
 
Hi guys,

I have the box and the bracket. For some reason my local dealer could not find the part number on the system for the screws. Does anyone know what size they are? Having lined the box this morning my a trip to B&Q looks likely!

Wish the first aid kit and bracket were standard on this side of the pond. We get nada....... :(

May have to locate parts and do it myself. :)

Strange for a country that won't allow a window or roof to self close in case you kill yourself, to not fit a basic first aid kit
