Farewell Z4 - My E85's journey!

The TTS looks great  thanks for sharing photo`s and from the outside its a carbon copy of our old one, is it a manual? ours was S-Tronic because of the miles we covered but I always fancied the manual far more, love the contrasting interior as well :D

They can be a little juicy on fuel if you keep your foot in that's for sure! :driving: enjoy it :)

Cheers Lee... its Panthar black crystal (i think thats the correct name!) Similar to BMW carbon Black.. looks purple in sunlight but black in the UK climate

I wanted the Stronic initially as everyone raved about them - and will be covering more miles in this.. took one for a drive and i was a little disappointed felt like the wifes merc auto :o (looking back i am not sure what I really expected from it!) So opted for a manual. Undoubtedly the stronic would be much faster than my manual.. especially with the launch control.. but i guess i'm so used to be a manual driver!

After covering 250 miles in it now.. still on the original tank of fuel they gave me! And it is averaging 27mpg!!! Going to London tomorrow in it though - so will see how it deals with some decent VPower and motorway cruising.

Looks really nice Aquazi.

I've got to say was super pleased to see all your z4 Mods listed at the start. I've seen your Sig in many posts and thought... yes... If I can make mine look anything like that. Thats the dream
I've also got a 3.0si with the red and black inside and love it.

So yeah sad to see it being ripped apart! And replaced. But it's a good looking TT too!

My Mrs has a 57 TT not TTs, I find it very... very soft? The ride, the steering, the gears. Just I cant explain it in any other way. I wouldn't say broken soft, just soft compared to the Zed.
Would you say you find anything similar?

But yeah really nice cars man, and sorry to see it gone!

Good stuff and I know ours did around the 28mpg mark but obviously it dropped a fair bit if you enjoyed the performance, its the same colour as the one we had and I always thought it looked great clean but it never seemed to stay clean for long!

We had a lengthy discussion regards the gearbox because both of us actually prefer a manual but ended up with the twin clutch instead, I love the look of the TTS a hell of a lot and the mrs still misses its size and nimbleness because with the 640 you cant throw it around and you always have to consider its size when nipping in and out of traffic.

We were only saying the other day that the 28 months we had the TTS seemed to have flown by and if it wasn't for the miles we put on it we would still have it and since the beginning of November we have put 10k miles on the 640 and its lost £7k already according to webuyanycar and obviously that will only get worse.

Seeing yours brings back good memories.

Actually the ride is soft.. even with 19's.. but i guess the profile tyres are taller than the Z... and my Z was on eibachs. Has the magnetic ride.. so in sport mode its much hasher - but on our UK roads i would say not in a good way.. from my usual A roads i prefer leaving it in normal comfort mode. Gear changes are easier than my Z.. especially reverse - where the mrs used to use two hands to push it over to reverse! in this is is much easier - has a longer throw.

I guess bmw offers a more rewarding drive than Audi - but Audi offers greater comfort.

I'd swap it with your 640 in an instant :P
