Just curious as I just renewed my contract. I was told I was a "loyal customer and heavy user" which made me think.

How much is "heavy"? My annual consumption is 13000 Kwh.

Just renewed for two years for 9.5 p day and 6.5p night, which seemed ok.

Looks like your 10000 Khw per annum over PVR. this says the UK average household usage is just 3300 Kwh.

You operating a 5 bar heater business or something?!

Hmm, no idea what does it then. I have replaced most lights by LEDs as well now.

PVR - do you have a thermally significant barn in your field ? This is the UK you know, growing that sh1t is illegal over here

(But if you can do a good deal.... )

Maybe get one of those monitor things and see what causes significant jumps when activated?

I have some energy saving bulbs, but can't get energy savers for the spot lights in the kitchen or hall....

Don't think I have energy friendly appliances either :headbang:

One word - hydroponics :exitright:

My nearest street lamp is more than a mile away. Perhaps I am feeding the neighbours ...

At the risk of sounding sad you must have an amazing night sky view of stars pvr. Absolutely no artificial light an all.

Unfortunately, Gatwick is about 5 miles or so away and that is enough to light up the sky into oblivion :x

NOW I understand the field - it's the detention centre, right ?

Brother in law lives in mayfield, not far from gatwick way, and his night view is wonderous. You must be a tad closer to be so affected. :(

Just got rid of all the crappy energy saving bulbs throughout the house and back to good old fashioned real bulbs, can actually see now :)

Tim.

It can only be a Dutch Plantation... Or he's got a mansion. Talking of which, do you have a swimming pool PVR ? Could be that...

How would I know - we have overhead cables here.

Probably does not help that I run a number of servers here permanently as well as CCTV boxes everywhere. Just thought they were supposed to be fairly "green" though.
