eccentric shaft sensor

Hi All
Replacing the above on my 2 litre n46 this weekend.
Concerned about access to the 3 retaining bolts for the sensor.
Can anyone who has done this job offer advice/views please?

If its the same as the 3 ltr, then just pack the surrounding areas with rags to stop anything falling out and going awol. I used a long 10mm socket, so it wouldnt get snagged and get pulled off the socket extension. There was one bolt that was an arse, which is the lower one, I think. You need to undo the upper 2 and then undo the lower one to make it come loose ( remember it is pushed onto the end of the cam assembly, so you need to slightly pry forward) then when it undoes, you need to screw it back in a little to allow access to get it out. It was more daunting to think about doing it than actually doing the job

The 3 bolts are captive in the sensor - should not fall out - but do not keep unwinding. Have a telescopic magnet on standby.
