(this link is now dead - see later posts)-

but given that there's a few advertised on this forum that don't seem to be shifting that quick, I thought it might be fun for people to post what they reckon the final sale price will be (currently one bid at £5k, closing in a week on 26 Nov). No prizes for who gets closest though...

I think the final price will be... 'The seller ended the auction early because the item is no longer available'

yep could be.
so is that you're final answer..?

It's a nice example and plenty of options boxes ticked too. No details of the service history though, so missing a trick if it's been well looked after (makes you suspect it might not have).

My (very specific!) guess is the auction will complete and the sale price will reach £11k. Then in an all-too-common eBay twist, it will mysteriously relist once or twice and continue to sell with the sale price gradually falling to £10k at which point the car will actually have found a real buyer.

If my engine bay looked like that one, I would not be taking photos of it.

The rest of the car looks just fine.

I noticed all that alloy corrosion as well, same on the wheel hub  Possibly someone used a nasty corrosive cleaning agent?
It might be interesting to check the MOT history..... if the seller hadn't covered the plates.

Well that would be my final answer - it's not exactly the best time of year to sell a Z4MR.

Crossing fingers JCW Mini sells in time for me to snatch one up before the month is up. This is close to what I'm looking for in a Z3M

Looks like it been parked in the sea looking at that engine bay corrosion.
Well spotted. I wouldve pick up on that one, too. That particular example has seen a fair amount of road salt I bet! In itself not a reason to discard at the right price, but my immediate concern would be bake pipes followed by suspension components.
Overall I would think about paying a visit to have a look before a bid is placed. VANOS rattle, essential service history (valve clearance), bottom end knock...

Yup... think that's how it will end.

well I've not seen anything vanish from fleabay just like that :o

So I guess Mr PerryGunn came closest, and is therefore the winner :winner:
:happyclap:

eBay can pull items completely if they have a reason (e.g. they think it's a scam) - otherwise they still tend to appear as a completed listing
