ebay auction Z4M roadster - with no reserve...

Now £8100 with 5 days to go, why do bidders fly in and pump up the price on a no-reserve sale with ages to go? :?

BTW I'm not interested in this car my OCD couldn't deal with it, but as an early winter no-reserve auction it's an interesting real-world test of the market.

^ possible shill bidders just bumping up the price to a virtual reserve quickly so the genuine bidders stay hooked in but won't get the bargain that was never going to happen...

Maybe... over 9k

A good winter project for someone to get it back up to a good standard.

It's hardly done any miles over the past few years.
12th May 2015 70902
21sth May 2016 75349
16th May 2017 77626
10th August 2018 77713

With the Mileage it's done over the past few years and the MOT History it might well need.....

Missing plastic rivet on the wheel arch lining thing.
New Tyres
Full Suspension refresh bushes, springs etc.
Steering wheel plastics
Steering Wheel refurb
New Discs
New Pads
Possibly new Brake Pipes and Hoses
Full Service with all fluids changed

That's before getting any errors fixed.

....... £9,400 with 5 mins to go

If it's relisted in the next week or two I'm declaring myself the winner
Until then is the prize mine ?
t0829.gifSorry, I'm afraid that you both lose on a technicality as your guesses were regarding an earlier listing (the one that was withdrawn), not the one that ran to conclusion

:P

Registration dates means it’s one of the rare ‘cheap tax’ cars
Not heard this before - what was the cutoff date?
Cars with a CO2 figure over 225g but were registered before 23 March 2006 are lumped into Band K - currently £315/year instead of £540/year or £555/year

Interesting - unfortunately I am firmly in the £555 camp with a registration date of Sept 2006

Indeed they are out there but a realworld rarity for sure :( in over 6 years on the forum i can't recall any members in this fortunate position with their Z4Ms

Well if that was a genuine sale I'd have thought the buyer has got a good deal - it'd be interesting if they turned up on here!

Me too, but I least I get my money's worth out of it :driving:

At that mileage you certainly have!

It's just a thought, but I'd be fascinated to learn about the long term ownership experience of an MC. (Partly because after 4+ years of a 3 litre E86 I keep wondering about an upgrade)!

Based on your example I’m looking forward to putting another 60k on mine - still amazed at how good the car is at covering the miles. Put 180 miles on today and was driving in traffic for 3 hours there and 2.5 hours back - still got out fresh as a daisy
