Ebay advice needed

This is my 2c.

Canon cameras even when dropped are quite tough.

However having had my fair share of problems with canon cameras I think the fault here might be the motherboard either getting wet or for some reason giving a fault.

How to prove this would be next to impossible.

Maybe the camera is still under warranty?

I wonder if they have swapped the innards. Is there a security seal to see if it's been tampered with?
 
I haven't read all 6 pages but if this hasn't be suggested before I would do this:

Empty Paypal account, by sending the money to a friend as a gift rather than back to bank account (becuase the 'withdrawal' function takes 3 days) and break the link to your bank account if you ever set that up. Do this soon as you can because Paypal froze my account as soon as someone started a dispute with me! :headbang:
 
So I thought I would update you on the situ!

PayPal went in favour of me!!! And returned my account to normal status. WOOOO! There are good people in this world! Absolutely over the moon! Although I did think I would loose this one!

Thanks to everyone for their suggestions and support means a lot! Great you can turn to the Z forum in an hour of need and so many people help and sympathise. Without your help the outcome would have probably be different so thank you!

I remember way back. It was a dicey thing BUYING on ebay. Especially with cars. I imagine that ebay in the interest of trying to be fair to the scammed buyers ended up grossly over reacting. And inadvertently set up the sellers for an easy scam. Kind of sounds like ebay/paypal are a governmental organization.

Fantastic - delighted to hear it! It's very rare for PayPal to find in favour of a seller, so you must have made your case very well.
